Hmmmmmm, not sure I like this guys thinking. "Never sell your Bitcoin!" .50 of a bitcoin would be a $500k valuation at $1,000,000 a bitcoin. Borrowing against that $500k at a 20% ( which means BTC would have to drop 80% before a margin call) LTV would be $100k per year in this example to live on. Deduct your interest on that loan annually. You don't pay taxes on the $100k, seems like a much better experience.....

I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with 10k and I’m up with 128k in a short period of time .This comment serves as motivation for all those who have invested and continue to invest in cryptocurrencies with so many losses, do not give up, cryptocurrencies can change your life. It's interesting to run across this video now, because although I think these are all very fine points, I think the higher estimates seem to have more clout. In fact it's possible that some of those 2030 targets in the base case area will likely happen during this cycle, perhaps even this year. I think it is entirely possible we see 400K Bitcoin, plus or minus a few hundred K by mid to late 2025. I think by 2030, a Million will seem low, because it's not that far to a million from 200-400K that I think this cycle hits. And also because, by the time 2030 rolls around, with the black hats ruining the dollar already to the point that the white hats can't even fix the damage, a million dollars will only have a half million dollars of buying power by todays standards. So, yeah, I think it's gonna be well over a Million dollars, but that still may not be enough to retire on. I think by 2030, you will need more than 1.5 million to retire to todays cost of living standards. My target is 2.5 million. And I think bitcoin will be worth at least half that much by 2030. So my $.02 is that it will take 2 Bitcoin to retire in 2030. My plan is to never sell unless I absolutely had to sell SOME for some reason. I plan to use it to leverage buy more appreciating rare assets, like Bitcoin. This is how the rich stay rich, and selling your savings is how the new rich, get poor again quickly. Another advantage of leveraging bitcoin vs selling it, is that a loan is debt, not income, and this is an important consideration for institutions like the IRS. Databyter

The moonshot case uses nominal dollars. To have a meaningful sense of what Bitcoin would actually be worth for retirement, it would be necessary to use real dollars. For example, use the buying power of U.S. dollars January 1, 2023.
