Hey Justin thanks I clicked your Banggood link and the USA warehouse had one in stock for 179 so I ordered it. Also got 1 roll of CPE, 2 rolls of TPU, and 1 roll of PLA. Thanks for forall the videos. I've been on the fence of which one I should get this was at the top of my list but this vid clenched it.

I built my own 3D printer, lost so many little nuts and screws I didn’t think I’d ever get it done, but it was an interesting exercise.

So what about us drone pilots that don’t want to purchase a 3d printer, but would love to get are hands on one of your prebuilt frames. Or do you know of a website already that sells other 3d printer quad frames? Thanks

Love my ender 3. The wife got it for me for Christmas and I've been loving it. I've been using a lot of the carbon fiber pla which seems a bit stronger than the normal pla. Already in preliminary tests with quad frames

I have the hatchbox wood pla love it it even smells like wood

I bought a second one because I was so happy with my first one haha

BLtouch probe for bed levelling is a must

the mobula 3d printed frame could be shaved down alot more i guess, the stock one is 6 grams lighter with propguard compared to the 3d printed one without propguards.
That's alot of extra weight percentage added there.

270 nozzle temp on the ender 3? Don't you need an all metal hotend for that? I've heard that the stock bowden tube starts breaking down at 250c and starts releasing bad fumes

Do not print PETG with the stock hot end. You need an all metal hot end like the micro-swiss or the e3dv6 to safely print PETG. The bowden tube will break down at 250c and offgas nasty chemicals that will give you and especially any pets you have brain damage. You really don't want teflon flu, it's no es bueno.
Also you really don't want to use rafts with PETG, because it has really high inter-layer adhesion and as you saw, it's really hard to remove them. Print on blue painters tape for PETG before you end up tearing chunks out of your bed.

why is the cam pointed in a 45 degree angle?

For pla, you do not need a heated bed. Petg can do without in many cases as well, so the one you build or buy should have an option of not using heated bed since it is not necessary. Abs is different but petg is cheaper and in many cases better

Is there a way to smooth all that out? Seems really rough and jagged.

Filamentum, is that a type of nylon? Prints a similar temps and looks a lot like it.

PSA, you do NOT want to take this printer over 240C on the stock hot end. The PTFE Bowden tube will produce toxic gases above that temperature. Capricorn makes a different PTFE blend that they claim can go to around 270C, but I would be cautious even then.

new to the 3d and drone world, what kind of camera is shown in this video? and what kind do you typically use?

I had this same adhesion problem then I noticed i wasn't printing with petg but thought i was. I was actually printing with pla.

What do you think is the best filament to make the quad frames?

Do you have any videos about actually building a drone? This seems like the results of flying one you printed, and some TPU reviews, but I expected a guide on building a drone...

I just got an ender 5 pro as a Christmas gift. I'm very happy with it. I had to do the assembly which I was suprised to find took me no longer than 30 min. It was easy to level and the printer is amazing! I'm pretty good at cad stuff as my dad does that for a living so I want to make my own racing quad frame. I think being unique would be really cool.

Can you print the ARS5 drone stl then use the motors and the parts from GoolRc T35? will it be stable while flying?

Little bit late but want to mention local library's (bay address specifically) are making 3D printers available for free. PLA is freely available as well.

@Drone Camps RC Justin, you dont have a 3d print channel, 20 months on what 3d Printer would you buy now to make your own drone frames and ducts? P.S I'm also a member of Quad Club

Get the ender 3v2, its really good, and the original ender is on sale for 160

looks like you were under-extruding on some of those prints, sick drones though, I love 3d printing my drones

Carbon Nylon is a perfekt Material for FPVs

You need to increase your flow rate for the tpu so you have the base meld together.

Have you ever tried a prusa 3d printer? I got a prusa mini after using an ender for a while and I found the prusa much more reliable. The game changer was maybe the self leveling bed, and I have heard of people modifying Enders to have self leveling beds, but still.

I have an couple printers. I may start printing quad copters! So do you do 100% infill on these to increase density?

Just got my Ender 3 pro a few weeks ago. After assembling it, plugged it in and nothing. I was devastated until I looked at the back and saw that the voltage was set for China. Switched that to US and been printing my 3d Telecaster.

So I'm 5 years late to the game... but I am waiting for my ender 3 pro to come in and just looking into stuff I can get into once I have it and am all dialed in with it... always wanted to mess around with these types of drones... gonna have to dig deeper to see what is out there but this was so cool! Can't wait to see what I can get into

got a kit in mind for printed quads? Motors, control, and FPV's? I want to get my son into drones.
