There’s little mention here of the INCREDIBLE healing powers of this medicine. It helped me find peace with my experiences of childhood abuse, neglect, and lifetime of sexual predators, and an abusive relationship. In fact, I found beauty in all of it and in me. Now I have everything I need now to live a happy and beautiful life.

This should not be for recreation. It’s hard hard work and if the vomiting scares you away, then you haven’t quite reached enough pain in your life to be ready for this plant.

Still processing my ayahuasca experience from three weeks ago, and will be processing it for the next few months, perhaps years.

After delving into the profound effects of Ayahuasca, my curiosity led me to seek a deeper understanding of the science behind this ancient brew. Dr. Gabor Maté's explorations into Ayahuasca's therapeutic potential for addiction treatment were particularly enlightening. His discoveries validated my personal experiences and urged me to delve deeper into the rabbit hole of Ayahuasca research. At Ayawakening, we focus on the scientific principles underpinning Ayahuasca's effects, ensuring a balanced blend of tradition and science in our approach.

The science of Ayahuasca is a cornerstone for those keen on exploring this plant medicine responsibly. It's fascinating how Ayahuasca has shown promise in treating addiction, depression, and anxiety, alongside enhancing mindfulness and creativity both in the short and long term. Remarkably, in vitro studies revealed that Ayahuasca stimulates neurogenesis and augments brain plasticity during the afterglow, a phase lasting approximately 10 to 14 days post-intake.

Delving deeper, the pharmacology of Ayahuasca unveils a complex concoction involving the Banisteriopsis caapi vine and leaves from the Psychotria viridis plant. The vine harbors monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) crucial for activating the psychedelic properties of N-N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT) found in the leaves. Yet, these MAOIs are more than mere activators; they possess psychoactive properties of their own, adding a layer of complexity to Ayahuasca's effects. DMT, a key component of Ayahuasca, significantly impacts neural plasticity, facilitating the brain's ability to form new neural connections. This property of DMT, alongside its potential to alleviate mood and anxiety disorders, underscores the profound healing capacity of Ayahuasca.

Ayahuasca's transformative potential extends beyond merely transient experiences. It unveils a path of self-discovery and healing, rooted in both mystical tradition and scientific validation. The elucidation of Ayahuasca's neurogenic properties, its impact on mental health, and the unfolding of its complex pharmacological profile provide a rich tapestry of understanding that enhances the experience manifold.

In founding Ayawakening, the aspiration was to bridge the ancient wisdom encapsulated in Ayahuasca with the scientific rigour of today, facilitating a deeper understanding and safer exploration of this sacred medicine. We strive to shed light on the profound science of Ayahuasca, fostering a community of enlightened and responsible explorers. Our journey is not just about personal or collective healing; it's about delving into the unknown with a spirit of inquiry and reverence.

I guess Ayahuasca is not save when overdosed but rather deadly. I already overdosed on hemp flowers and it took me one week to fully recover.

I feel like you still know you’re hallucinating on shrooms and acid, it’s not like they make you stupid. And lots of people go to them for spiritual healing as well/to learn something. However overall I think all hallucinogenics are just kinda bad 😂 (depending on the person I guess; but it doesn’t mesh with me)

Ive done it. And it wasnt a 'hallucination', I literally went to another planet for a few weeks, it was absolutely mind blowing. I can't recommend it enough, and its why here in Colombia it is not called a 'trip' its called Medicine. I urge everyone to try it. Considering the Shamanic element etc, it made me a solid Christian, as I experienced stuff you wouldnt believe. Do ensure you go to a reputable Shaman who can get the mix right and have a safe environment, a proper facility should have dedicated toilets not buckets!

I just had this experience today. It was the most beautiful, powerful, intense experience of my life. I didn’t vomit or feel nauseated either, so the experience will be very personal, but I would 100000 times recommend it, to anyone reading this now and at least mildly considering it. Do your research and prepare, but then surrender and let her show you the way. She is genius ! I don’t know how else to put it🧚‍♀️

you are pronouncing ayahuasca incorrectly. Never heard a single person say it that way in over 6 years in the community. Being that this is an "educational" video I am disappointed. Also "those seeking auditory and optic hallucinations" is grossly misleading. So much to unpack there. I see that you later represent some other reasons why someone might drink it. Just trying to help this culture overall. god bless.
