God, for all Fallout 4's story flaws, the followers are so well done. All the little things like this make them so satisfying, from all of them commenting on a sound of a sleeping deathclaw if you enter the Civic access before saving Preston and triggering the attack, to things like Hancock's affinity dialogue being slightly different if you trigger it after In Sheep's Clothing, they actually feel like part of the journey rather than a walking bullet sponge.

I got distracted and finish the whole far harbor main questline, got my main quest until I meet doctor Amari, and remember Codsworth before going to nuka land to bring him too. my character reaction are totally different from this, as she doesnt really remember who codsworth is lol

You don’t have to complete the main quests all you need to do is make it to the institute and talk with father then you can talk with cosworth and get the dialogue

As shitty as the main quest is Side questing in this game is a whole other beast. Settlement building too. In my opinion fallout 4 is the best make your own fun type of fallout game. And while the story leaves alot to be desired there is a correct way to end the story with all 3 main factions living Danse staying in the BOS and as your companion ample dialogue choices meaning this is another option coded into the game. So if you take the time to scrounge deep withing fallout 4s story you'll find a solid 6.5 /10 story not bad but not great.

Its crazy that they made replica humans, indistinguishable from the real thing, instant teleportation and synthetic gorillas. But cancer? Nope still uncureable.
