Hey I know this is 2 years old but this video helped me a ton. I had no idea why I had such a large amount of temp files on my main drive. None of this is really explained when you're just starting out with Adobe apps. I now switched my cache folders over to my second drive.
One question though, I found folders at the original location in C drive labeled PTX and Peak Files, that had a ton of small files in it. Can you change the location of those as well? Or is that something that will automatically generate after changing file locations? I made two separate folders on my second drive, one for Disk Cache and the other for Conformed Media. Will these PTX files still get created on my main drive?
Hey thanks alot, i have one question tho. Would you say if i have 2 SSD and 1 HDD should i still use the HDD for the Confirmed Media Cache ?

ОтветитьThanks for the video! It was very helpful!
Ответитьso i just got a samsug 2T SSD and i have y regular laptop hard drive. Would you recommend having the max disk cache in my laptop and the conformed media cache in the ssd card or vice versa? i already had the separate folder same drive trick but after effects is still too slow hence why i got the ssd.
Ответитьis this the same with all adobe apps?
ОтветитьTwice faster final render after that. thanks!
ОтветитьUnderrated video. Good stuff man
ОтветитьThanks pal!
ОтветитьThanks for the clear, concise info! Follow up question: Is cleaning the database something you'd recommend doing between projects or can it be done anything without a lengthy rebuild process?
ОтветитьLegend thank you!
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьRight on the money
ОтветитьExactly what I wanted to know. Thanks.
