What is the weather really like in Boise, Idaho? I moved to Boise from California almost 20 years ago, and it's nice to have a practical, honest review of the weather when you're considering moving to Boise. What are your questions about the weather in Boise?
ОтветитьMy friends are moving there this sept oct. Great to know its dry heat lacking humidity. Im from ca in sonoma county. Love your details you share. ❤️
ОтветитьSuch an informative and entertaining video in that it was so fun to see you with all the changes of sweaters, coats, etc.
ОтветитьI don’t know how you claimed the cost of living is so affordable… even 3 years ago the rents had at least doubled since the end of 2014. Now 3 years after this video they’ve almost tripled since 2014 in some cases. So many people on fixed incomes and lower incomes have become unhoused and displaced because owners know they can get away with 30% rent increases every couple years cuz someone will pay it because people have to have a place to live even if they have to double up and live a whole family in 1 bedroom and barely have access to a bathroom or kitchen.
Maybe for homeowners or others coming from California or east coast areas that are ridiculously priced like DC, New York City, most of Connecticut, etc., it’s “affordable.”
Having to have a minimum income of 36,000 annually to afford/ be accepted as a renter for a $1000 per month STUDIO APARTMENT (landlords commonly require 3x the rent in income, near perfect credit, etc., and that would be a cheap one) is NOT affordable. $36,000 per year pretax is $18/ hour for 50 weeks of 52 weeks of the year. Housing discrimination in rentals has become rampant from people’s accounts, even if people don’t know to report it and who to report it to and don’t know their legal rights.
And renters’ rights in idaho are almost nonexistent if you’re not a senior and barely exist if you are.
Lots of jobs don’t pay that well here even though wages have risen naturally just because of the higher cost of living, even though the Idaho minimum wage is still so low.
For people from here that were too young or otherwise hadn’t had a chance to try to buy a home and don’t make more than the median income they no longer can afford to buy a home and haven’t been able to since before this video was made!
That means it’s NOT very affordable in Boise and hasn’t been for a while.
The young making “decent” money for here at $20 per hour (especially if they also have decent medical benefits at that wage, which many don’t), have no chance of buying a home unless some relative or friend actually has a conscience and sells it to them for a price the person buying can afford (and still at a profit to the seller). But that’s very rare.
Greed and self-focus is the most common religion, just like in most places. People claim to believe or follow Jesus but money and/or their stomachs or other body parts is what actually rules them. People really should read the New Testament and see the character and example of the one they claim to follow.
He is the standard. Not any person who thinks or us thought of as a “good” person.
Did I mention the endless shopping?

ОтветитьSubbed.
ОтветитьWow you are so pretty.Basque guy here. There are many Basque people living in Boise.
ОтветитьTotal milf
ОтветитьWell done! Nice video, Summer!
ОтветитьGo back to California and stop promoting people moving to Idaho. And to everyone thinking about moving here; don’t.
ОтветитьYes you will FREEZE......DO NOT MOVE HERE. Especially if you are from California.
ОтветитьLoved your video. One correction though about Sacramento, CA. Lived there 25 yrs. MOST nights the delta breezes will cool the summer nights down to the low to mid 60s. A few weeks every summer when the days hit 100+, yes the nights will be stagnant - around 70. What sucked in Sacramento the last few summers were the fires....but that's a different story. And you are right, the thunderstorms in TX are powerful. We live there now :)
ОтветитьAvoid sociopath, Bryce Fuller.
ОтветитьNice content 😘❤️
ОтветитьI live in California too. The colder weather is the only thing that kinda scares me, but not too much. I can always bundle up.
ОтветитьI am very interested in any single story homes, basements are ok, in the Boise area and the surrounding cities.
ОтветитьThanks so much!
ОтветитьVery very helpful
ОтветитьDo u guys have hurricane or tornadoes
ОтветитьNice video Summer. So helpful 👍🙏
ОтветитьI’m from Southern California, so this will be an adjustment. A nice one, tho. There are no seasons here, no rain. Will be nice to have seasons for a change.
ОтветитьTy! So detailed and just what I needed to hear.
Ответитьdo u have to be GOP to live in Idaho?
ОтветитьNice video
ОтветитьI like your assessment thank you for your video.
ОтветитьHello. Summer Aston. I am korean who is planning to go to Boise with my family next year. Your videos are pretty much useful for me. Also, I am using your video for studying English. Your videos help me to get useful information and study English. I already pushed the subscribe and like button with my wife. Thank you again. See you.
ОтветитьGreat video! Thank you💖
ОтветитьHaving lived in the Boise Valley most of my 70+ years I can wholeheartedly agree with you about those winter inversions...they can really suck!
I've seen many winters where the inversions seemed to hang on forever. Week after week after week,. Everything seems to get covered in ice. The hoar frost on the tree limbs can be a couple of inches thick.
Dull, dreary gray skies and no sun for a month or two just about drives a person to madness.
Fortunately, the prolonged inversions aren't the norm, but 2-3 weeks at a time can be fairly common.
And then you have the bitter cold winters that can hit . Occasionally with lows of -20 to -30 and highs of 10 to maybe 20 degrees for 2 to 4 weeks.
I can remember many winters that from early November through late February the day time highs would seldom rise above freezing and lows from single digits to high teens.
Winters in the Boise Valley can be highly variable. Several mild ones in a row followed by some really bad ones. Winters can be like a box of chocolate...you just never know.
Leave! It's being ruined by others!!!
ОтветитьBig concern is the summer air quality. Smoke from fires in surrounding states will stay in Boise area for 2 weeks sometimes before it clears out. I was there for a week in summer and the visibility was 300 feet thru the smoke. It was really unhealthy. Locals told me it happens every summer now.
ОтветитьThat is sooo awesome I have to move there!!.... I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cold!!! I am originally from Austria and I am in California right now and I HATE the never ending summers here, just so depressing to me, so to me Idaho will be a blast!
ОтветитьIdaho sucks. Theres no jobs(good jobs) it's full of racists, and ignorant people. its flat and boring. There is nothing here. The wilderness is full of rattlesnakes. It's cold and snowy in the winter. Taxes are high. Festivals, lol what a joke. Theres just potatoes. Its creepy af. Dont fucking move here. These realtors want to pick your pockets.
ОтветитьThis video was so helpful.
ОтветитьSo beautiful how I can get there I'm from Philippines..
ОтветитьAwesome.
Sounds like Colorado. Except we get more rain fall.😁❤❤❤🙏👍
You did an excellent job. Thank you.
ОтветитьWeather sounds awesome! Right up my alley. BTW, I'm from Sacto and I can attest that it starts getting chili after 9pm, so I don't understand what you were referring to when you said it was hot all night. We would BBQ and hang out until all of a sudden we're all scrambling for our jackets after nightfall around 9ish. 🤔
ОтветитьNewly from Northern California. Looking forward to better Summers in Boise.
ОтветитьIt’s 90 degrees here in Sacramento during the summer and that’s at nighttime. After dealing with 100-110 degree hot summers. I absolutely hate it here lol. Thank you for the info I do plan on moving to Boise … one day
ОтветитьThank you !!!
ОтветитьSummer
You REALLY did some excellent work with the scripting & delivery of your content here.
Genuine and Credible.
Time VERY well spent .
TYVM !!
The weather is horrible, so stay away Californians
ОтветитьDoes Boise have public transit?
ОтветитьHoly smokes... you are beautiful. Wish you were mine.
ОтветитьSnow Maggedon was typical of the winters here in my childhood, 1970s to early 1980s.
ОтветитьSnowflakes don't last here
ОтветитьI likes McCall in Summer near the lake so beautiful
