As a person who was in fnaf from the start, then quit on sister location and rejoined when security breach came out, I am insanely lost and confused

A tiny theory for FNAF 4 could be that if we play as the crying child but Mike's experiences are part of the game play... what if Mike brought the child with him to the jobs like we see in the movie trailer? Could be a parallel to explain the confusion for fnaf 4.

Like if it was the Afton Family diner, or the Emily family diner,... where did they get the name Faz from?

I think the narrative of "anyone could be a robot" or "anyone being possessed by the virus" is a super compelling and interesting narrative, and remember, viruses are known for copying and reproducing.
Also, watching this month's later, after the trailer for the movie has dropped, I think the idea of it being Mrs Afton is super interesting as on imdb there is an actress assigned as "female villian"

I know this is old, and I know this has probably been said, but if we are to take Vanessa’s “hacked” file that was potentially edited to better match Elizabeth’s story, with “Bill” being the abusive and manipulative father, then should we be taking into consideration that it sounds like Vanessa’s/Elizabeth’s mother has died based on the glitched audio mentioning her mother after the divorce on the secret tapes?

After seeing Ruin, my theory is that the Pizzaplex is filled with several incarnations of William Afton. The AR rabbit that chases you throughout Ruin I think is an AI form of Afton who runs and powers the entire Pizzaplex. That’s how the AI is able to take control of Vanny through the mask, how objects that appear real are actually fake and reality itself is warped in Ruin, how the entire Pizzaplex is controlled through this network. ‘The Storyteller’ being the AI in the books I think is a parallel to the AI of Afton which now continues Afton’s ‘story’ by running the Pizzaplex in the games for some sort of plan. It’s sort of a parallel of FNaF 3, too, the game which specifically had Afton as the sole physical animatronic chasing you. A location which has been burned, abandoned and left in ruin, with a twisting of reality itself and non-existent animatronics (the AR rabbit and the phantom animatronics, specifically), with William Afton chasing you down. The other incarnation of Afton, in a way, I think is the Mimic. Now, I have no evidence as to why the Mimic is under the Pizzaplex / the Fnaf 6 location specifically, but it’s there. I think Candy Cadet’s story in Ruin about the monster being trapped in the basement and learning the lullaby is most definitely the Mimic, but I think this ‘lullaby’ is actually the behaviour of Afton. It’s intrinsically connected to the constant flowing network of robotics in the Pizzaplex, it’s directly beneath all of it. I think the developing network of this AI Afton has kind of ‘trained’ the Mimic to reenact the behaviours of Afton too, finally giving Afton a physical form once again. That’s why we see Burntrap, who - in cooperation with Vanny - is built from the Mimic by the AI in order to replicate the form Afton spent several decades in.

So that gives us phase 2, where there is an overall plot going with the ip, but not the same story. I just dont get which games are 1-2 or where SB is placed in the new 7.

Utah is part of the rocky mountains, which used to have grizzly bears until they were hunted to extinction in the area around the 1950s. Random shoutout but, there is also a grizzly bear sanctuary in Heber, Utah. No idea if it's still running though.

That would partially explain why he has a facility/factory under his house.
Hear me out:
That place was probably provided by the military after Afton took some of Henry designs and shown it to the them
Sinse he probably would inform himself of what they do or their purpose so he could use as pitch to get financed or to acquire the materials necessary to build them.
Since he is the business man.
Without divulging Henry's name and with the little knowledgehe possessed at the time, he could pass himself as the one who did the designs
In the military eyes(or the person that provided the capital/loan), he would be the "robotics genius".
I say that the military provided him the bunker that they later refurbished into a factory, aka sister location, and built the Afton house on top of it for easy access before Afton got married.
That would also explain how a simple nerd has access to high tech facility and resources. Built in house and acquired elsewhere.

That would explain the bodies found in the factory last time Micheal goes down. Otherwise what were those hanged silhouettes?
Since other party other than Afton would be watching the bots, they would need someone like Mike to bypass security.

I mean Micheal was kinda of a 12 or 13 when his bro got chomped.
He probably moved out but stayed in contact with his father until he disappeared in 1993(date once removed)
I don't know the dates but if, Vanessa was born in 93 that would put her at 23 in 2013.
Micheal could have followed William "in case of disappearance steps" yeas later like in 1999 or early 2000's and found is secret notes and the elevator.
And find out that his father was monitoring the house.
Anyway in my head canon, also gives a connection to the line u have a normal childhood, since it would Micheal trying to be a better parent and family member to his daughter. After losing a sister and being a douch to his brother.

I know some of these points don't make a lick of sense, but how two dudes managed to create advanced and sturdy robots with low budget costs (on restaurant budget.) Without a proper financier it always rub the wrong way.

I don't comment often and I could be missing important stuff cos I'm currently been catching up with fnaf after loosing touch for a but but the part where u r on about sister location nd malten Freddie made me think about the very valid point of sister location was never burned however matpatt recently talked about the help wanted 2 teaser theorising a potential end (wich is most commonly burning the place down) to sister location nd hints more to maybe we do play as Michel nd the ending is burning the place (a lot of gaps nd stuff that dosnt make sense but thought I would chuck it out for fun again I'm currently catching up so might be missing important stuff)

if i was cott i'd just wanna make it a lot clearer, at least the stuff already covered. I would make the new lore for the future and stuff and thats what ppl can theorise. Id use the movie as an opportunity to do this. Make ia a clean narrative and it is basically the timeline from mike starting tryna find his dad by being a guard at freddies (or whatever he is tryna do) and end when he gathers them all and burns in simulator place all whilst having flashbacks or dialogue to explain why he is doing it etc. Then you have the clean timeline sorted. Although this is defo not whats happening cos springtrap is in it lmao

Regarding the cut content argument, people really need to be careful with it. One of the most important cases i can think of was Bloodborne where the first main boss directly references Demons Souls, thus establishing that they both take place within the same universe. The developers cut that out and now there’s absolutely nothing connecting the two games. It’s easy to claim that they are connected because “the developers clearly thought of that” but the development process is a very creative ever changing process where sometimes completely unrelated things are thrown around till everything comes together. The same goes for FNAF.

It's funny how you mentioned goosebumps. I was explaining the fnaf lore to a person who never played the games, and I drew the analogy that it was like making the goosebumps movie. It's a bunch of cheesy vignettes that didn't really feel like they were entirely supposed to fit together. Almost like reconstructing pangea from the modern continents. They kinda fit, but not exactly. Some parts are complicated.
