Kudos to the marketing team. I'm sure they made out like bandits. Catfished us all out of our money. Devs sitting with the bag.

I finished this game at the peak of enemy density before all the patches. I have to say some areas were disgusting but overal pretty good game. I even left a steam review giving the game 7-8/10. The game is good but has a lot of issues that don’t make me want to replay.

People just wana hate on this game for no reason, like the devs know there is shit wrong with it but they have gone out of their way to change and or fix the issues, but dark souls fetishists/masochists just hate it, when the devs could be like bethesda and say "nah fuck you" and then do something half a decade later..... When nah this game has been updated A LOT in less than a year, the devs care yet they get hate anyways

This genre isn't stale like Cod got. Because there is so much devs can do to enhance their games snd freshen things up. Look something like Crimson Desert that game is really beautiful you can tell the work and years it has taken to make that game whst it is. Im all for people using FromSoftware's inspiration for theur games. Because look at some of the games coming put. Phantom Blade Zero etc.

Reduced enemies sounds awful. I dont think iv ever played a game where i was upset that there was too many enemies. And 50% of enemies is insane. I was going to get this game but they took out half the enemies which sucks ass.

So they made the game easy to appease cry babies that just started playing the souls like genre, the biggest thing that I really can't just ignore is not falling off due to hits, like that's supposed to be part of the challenge! 😂

Commitment in a video game setting is meaningless, being able to cancel animations makes the game feel way more responsive than any fromsoftware game, because of this fromsoftware games feel unresponsive and clunky, while this game feels much more fluid, has more depth and feels much smoother to play

Its not a different game at all im playi g it now first time since launch i heard there was alot of changes and weapons and spells i havent seen anything dif its a phenomenal game just nothing new about it witch isnt a bad thing my umbral biuld is melting the endgame with 25/ rad/inf witch is insane i yhought i would be struggling with no stat above 30 but heath but nope umbral biulds are strong as fuck even if your stats will be alot lower than other biulds

I am playing Lords of the Fallen right now (Sept 2024) and I am loving it. This is my favorite Souls-like next to Elden Ring. And that includes all the actual From Software games.

On Xbox this game lagged like CRAZY!!! hopefully it’s been fixed now.

As a Nioh player and lover i love to hear someone mention a lack of build variety in souls like games. It's one of the main reasons i loved nioh 2 so much.

enjoyable game however they should have let item pickups count for both players.

Because what I ve seen when it came out was that very few were good.

I'm playing this game via $3.99 PC Pass on Geforce Now and it's incredibly enjoyable. The 40ms latency can be a handicapped on parrying, but it's still doable or even better than Lies of P's BS parrying windows.

Ik the devs have done tons of work so maybe this video will lead to me finally finishing the game

played the game a lot. kinda sucks and is annoying. basically no unique sets. all weapons of the same weapon class do the same stuff. the dimension shifting is annoying and your constantly raising a lantern or waiting for some invisible mob to cheap shot you.

we need more enemies.

I had the first one and I like it and want to know if the 2nd one another game is or just the same game with upgraded graphics. Four months after, LOF is available on GamePass for free! I am playing this game, i didn't at launch cause i played Lies of P first... and i regret it! Don't get me wrong, Lies of P is a nice game, but i'm liking LOF V1.5 much better. I am experiencing more than some performance issues despite having a better than "average" PC (i can play at 1440p ultra with a 100fps average, but the game randomly has sudden fps drops and texture popping issues), and i proved the issue is not my PC anyway as it has lots of headroom utilization wise. 100% agree with your review, it's a great game, much better than previous reviews said!

I played all the way to the end boss 6 months ago before all the updates and found the game not that hard. But I am a souls veteran so... there's that. I did not finish because I thought the end boss was too irritating plus I guess I didn't want to spend all the time trying to beat him cause of so many games I had ready to play. Good game over all .

Still mediocre souls game, sorry they dropped the ball, Lies of P is much better

This video is one of the major reasons I'm revisiting LOTF on my channel. Back during the early days of it, it was painful (at best) in certain ways, even though I absolutely loved the artstyle, and the "new things" it offered to the genre. Really appreciated how in depth you went on it, and frankly, without great videos like these: some creators like myself wouldn't even have the time to figure out that the game WAS improved so much, so a sincere "thank you" for this one, as I'd LOVED the ideas this game brought, just hated the exact issues you mentioned here. Here's looking forward to it once more!

I can't get over the fact that my character did % based damage. No matter what level I was, it took the same number of hits to kill each specific mob.

Currently on my first blind playthrough on October 12, 2024 on Steamdeck and pretty shocked how good this game runs and looks. Having a blast so far and really glad I didn’t play this on launch or else it may have been soured. Props to the devs on pulling a No Man’s Sky.

Just started a second playthrough of this game and I haven't played it since ver. 1 so these changes are VERY noticable to me. Really wish I would have waited because the experience is sooo much better. Also, I don't even have the best gaming rig with a 10+ year old motherboard CPU and a standard Geforce 3060 and I can get really smooth framerates at 1440p on highest settings with balanced DLSS or high settings at 4k with performance DLSS which is way better than the initial release where I needed to set everything to medium just to get 30fps. Huge improvement.
Hopefully HEXWORKS takes all these learned lessons into the sequel.
