Simon Charles Dorante-Day is still promoting the belief he is their son....crickets? no story? it would take some brilliant sleuth to unravel that part of Charles life instead of the 'official' date claimed for when they 'first' met. Charles was sent to Australia and suddenly Camilla disappeared during this time. Did the Queen force them to adopt the poor little baby out from the shame it would have brought on their precious family?

I don't think Camilla was the cause of the breakdown. I think the cause of the breakdown was simply that he was in love with another woman who'd been engineered into another marriage so he could be engineered into marrying a virgin. It was a tradition that had always worked, but Diana was different. She was both too unstable to cope with that kind of arrangement and also too strong at the same time because she came out fighting, amazing woman she was. But she was never a match for Charles or he for her. We like to think it was as simple as them being mean to Diana but I think it was much more complex than that and the people themselves know that. Charles and Diana were good mates by the time her tragic death came to pass and she was still close to the Queen and especially close to Philip, who had such a soft spot for her. It's very hard for such an institution to change with the times and they did their best but they also messed up. Everyone messed up. And the primary issue was keeping two people who loved one another apart in the first place. They were all casualties. I wish Diana was still here, I wish Charles and Camilla all the happiness any couple deserves. I believe they'd all have been quite settled and happy in the end but Diana's untimely death meant Camilla was further vilified because we love to hate someone. Camilla did refuse to keep an affair going until Diana was also sleeping around, however, she was still present, so Diana was right - there were three of them because he couldn't let go.
