You said avoid water, can I workout with my starter locs?

I literally started my loc journey today

I have watched a lot of videos on dreads and the one thing they all agree on is DON’T WASH YOUR HAIR! But they don’t tell me how to address the dandruff I’ll go through w/o washing it for up to six months. I develop dandruff real easy that’s the one thing stopping me from having dreads. Any tips on how I can take care of my scalp while in the early stages of growing my dreads?

Should i get a taper i already did finger coils myself and i did my whole head without a cut should i get a cut then go to someone to do the coils for me or get someone to do them coils but leave the parts to get cut at the barber?

The longer I go with my locs the more I hate hearing the word dreads

i just started mine with comb coils should i get a retwist every 2 weeks or do i wait a month? i see smeone in the comments saying you should retiwst every 2 weeks

I started mines with coil twist .. I’m about a month in right now .. can I use a crotchet to keep them neat when they start frizzing or looking like it’s about to unravel? Or would that ruin the process for locing

im doing my loc journey similar to yours in that Im getting comb twist, when my dread mature, can i use a sponge or sum to get freeforms? or will that ruin the dreads?
