ОтветитьSeam sealer really helps to plug holes
ОтветитьI also subscribed 😊
ОтветитьLove the video. Great work, I am planning on doing this to the bottom side of my 05 Saab 9-5 arc that has one bad seem seal thats in a easy spot to get thankfully, Hoping mine looks this good after. Thanks for the idea for the wire wheel too 😊
ОтветитьYes u do use a solvent on a rag kinda wet and u swipe in one motion it will smooth it rt out lik factory dont press to hard you'll hav yr build and bead smooth
ОтветитьI use free lottery type credit cards for smoothing. You can cut them to different widths too for tight spots.
ОтветитьDude you need a new wire wheel😁
ОтветитьGreat job on this video. We seem to share a value that is readily mistaken as perfectionism . . . that of doing the job properly so as to mitigate any premature need to do it again. Kudos!
ОтветитьHow did u fix all the pitting? Also is that the stock windshield channel and cowl or replacement panels
ОтветитьThat's sexy!
ОтветитьGood video! Thanks for all the tips that I will put to use on my car.
ОтветитьIt is real useful video. I wodering , when you used seam sealer than if you didnt welded parts together to them. So, what should happen it? Becase some companies real give warranty about how stronger seam sealer. Is it not a big problem for weld between parts or have to use weld with seam sealer epxy? Let me know opinion , thanks.
ОтветитьI've gone with catalyzed seam sealers, the bond is fantastic. Using a heavy bodied sealer gives me great results on coach joints as you've shown here. I finish with a 1" chip brush, they're cheap enough you can throw it away or clean it up to use again. I use catalyzed self-leveling sealer on my shown joints, the finish is glassy smooth. If you haven't tried catalyzed sealers I recommend you give them a shot, for sure you'll have better results. Carry on and keep saving that old iron!
ОтветитьHi there, I sand the metal till it's raw but there is rust, then I clean it and get rid of it, but minutes later a thin yellow layer of rust comes up and have to clean it again. I am stucked here because I cant apply the first layers primer, I dont know what product to use to avoid the rust to appear again . Anyways good video , thanks
ОтветитьExcellent video.
ОтветитьWhat brand is that where did you get it
ОтветитьThis is a great video! Thank you!
ОтветитьAwesome video, brother. Congrats from Australia!
ОтветитьHey Chris! Love your videos bro! Very detailed and give not just reasons why you do certain things but also help everyone understand why you do them. It's one thing to bolt together after market parts, but it's totally different to know how they all work together. It helps others that aren't as knowledgeable about classic cars a chance to learn. I have a 1971 El Camino with a 700 R4 Trans with a overdrive unit and it's pretty close to Idles at 1500 R.P.M. at 65 m.p.h. I wanted to make horses while also getting mileage as well. I'm hoping for at least 20. I'm restoring it and I'm trying to learn more things about how to keep it in good shape. It's was a father and son project however my dad passed away almost a year ago and I want to complete it in memory of him.
ОтветитьThanks for subscribing brother 😉👊🏻
ОтветитьNice post brother guys don't realize how many seams there are 👍🏻 I use some dish soap and a little water in a cup and dip whatever tool you are going to use to smooth out the seam sealer I used a wooden spoon i sanded to the shape I needed it glides over the sealer a lot easier bro keep the great videos coming 😉👍🏻👍🏻
