How Bad is the GT 730 in 2022?

i have this for 15 years and im still playing with it

it’s around $40 at my local best buy now, debated buying for the novelty alone tbh

Dude I have this gt 730 4GB version, and trust me, my iGPU (UHD630) performs a lot better than this, moreover like 20+ FPS more than the GT730 with i3 8100

i got a gtx 550 ti for $14 and its 65 times faster

Someone is selling it for ~20 USD, I think it would be great for 4k_60 fps video playing with better Colours than Intel hd graphics.

Personally I only buy this as a backup GPU whenever I upgrade my main GPU, lol. Might change it up with RX 550/560 since I mostly use AMD cards.

you seems to dont get why this gpu still exists and it has its place. for retro gamers like me im running very fine with a gt 730 also in my win xp pcs (ive got many) i did install everywhere a gt730 but the 2 gb gddr5 variant( which is about 30-50 percent faster in games). and it easily runs every win xp games and got perfectly working drivers and you can save much energy by using one of these and can still buy them today if you want to in brand new thats why retro gamers like me love this card so much

I just bought one only because I just built my first pc in like 12 years and my motherboard has HDMI so I figured I’d just use that till next payday and I’ll buy a real GPU. Well my ryzen 5 doesn’t have integrated graphics Soo my new pc has no display so this should work just to get a functional picture to my tv right? I also only paid 46 dollars not 100!

No one should ever look to this video card for any machine that will be used to do anything 3D, but if the machine will only be used for 2D, web surfing, or video streaming this is a good option.

I have an old one. It's my first and only PC. I have been stuck with it for over 5 years and i hate it.

I got this GPU for $26 for my I5-9500t and it works like a god in valorant. Getting 200+ fps in high settings.

Me with GT 210, that GT 730 is a dream GPU for me, only costs $15 brand new and you're lying that it costs $100..what a lie, you just don't like lower end stuffs and you're just lying on the prices

It's a very stupid idea to judge this card VS. modern games, be relevant and test it in a retro gaming setup.

I just salvaged one of these from the garbage, and I thnk you're being a bit harsh on it.
This is a card from 2014, don't expect the world from it. If you use this for what it was actually designed for, you will have a good experience. This was not designed to run AAA games from the 2020's.

Lol I had one in a old pre built in 2015 but I had a weak ass power supply and it was a slim tower so options were limited so I added it to try playing really old like 2006 games on it for the most part and csgo on lowest settings 😅
