The dialogue between Hiram and Lucky is of particular interest. He said "As it is written, your vile indolent race will suffer, toil at our hand" and Lucky said not in any book she's read.... but i guess she hasnt really read the Bible then. Cuz it does say that we will suffer at the hands of our enemies. I wonder what curse he is referring to that followed them to his land? What covenant is he referring to that they failed to hold? All interesting questions with no answer... More research needs to be done sir. But good video, i suppose.

This was definitely the most disturbing tv series I’ve ever watched

I have just finished watching this spectacular series on prime video. This was my frist 10 episode series i have ever watched on prime video.
And after Watching it, i want to say this is absolutely mind blowing masterpiece made by the makers in which every character like Ashley thomas, deborah ayorinde, jeremiah birkett & christopher heyerdahl and others have played absolutely remarkable role.
I have completed these 10 episodes in 4 days and i have thoroughly enjoyed this. I want to see 2nd season as well i hope it would come soon.

I'm super late through commenting on this video but the stuff with Betty and her father is it meant to be up for interpretation it is very plainly spelled out exactly what's going on and what did go on. Things don't have to be said directly to be said. Betty situation is made clear and it's not subtext or buried or meant to be puzzled over.

Don't watch this series, it starts been very interesting and then it turns to be ridiculous 🤢🤢🤢

This was a horrible story. Absolutely terrible.

That wasn't a dream by lucky it was showing how it started for the neighborhood like a little prequel to the show.

I was greated with subtle racial overtones of "we dont want you here" when my family and I first moved into our neighborhood. 2010. Things always change while remaining the same.

Disturbingly phenomenal. It’s disgusting what my ppl have been through and are still going through. The fact that others can be aware of these atrocities and not join Black Americans in our fight for reparations from the American government is criminal and shows this type of hate for us is still very much alive.

I just finished and I feel like I need therapy after watching this show.
The horrors that people had to and continue to endure.
I need time to process all that I just watched.
