You know, I love book Josh WAYY MOREE than movie Josh and this movie Josh kinda pissed me off :') No, I don't blame Israel Broussard but I blame the director or whoever made him like this.. Book Josh is a sweet innocent boy who..

1. The reason that he routinely visits the Coveys in the first place is because he hates being in his own home (his Mom and Dad fights a lot).
2. He hangs out with LJ's Dad a lot, starting from fixing cars, washing machines, stoves. And he appreciates his Korean cooking
3. He would randomly knock on the Coveys' house and join them on dinner if he smells something nice coming out. He loves to jog at night at dinner time.
4. When he was a little boy, LJ's Korean Grandma used to come home and he will accompany her watch Korean dramas (with no subtitles) and she would feed him peaches or persimmons 😢
5. He cried right on spot, in that particular street, when Margot broke up with him
6. He will never lash out to anyone, even Peter. Book Josh is just hurt, not angry. And he would never say bad things to LJ

I just.. Argh :') I want my book Josh. He's sincerely my favorite character, though I don't want him to end up with Lara Jean

As a character I just love Josh. He gets a chance to understand his inner feelings for lara Jean only when he breaks up with margot. I also wish that they would have just included Josh-LJ kiss scene because it was so beautifully written in the book and also peter's jealousy towards Josh after knowing abt kiss would have been able to watch if they included it.

wish guys like josh existed in real life. above anything else, he was always an amazing friend to lara jean. i wish he got more screentime, though. for me, lara jean + josh were one of the most important relationships of the first book, but the movie didn't capture much of that. how josh liked lara jean before he liked margot, and how she liked him back, all that sweet stuff. altho i suppose the movie would be like three hours long if it contained everything from the books… oh well. it was really great, i just wanted a bit more josh :\

i ship josh and lara jean so hard. josh was her first crush and they were such close childhood friends. as lara jean said, josh was her first boy-friend. she wrote his letter first. and i really wish they added the scene from the book where lara jean got a huge dent on margot’s car. josh could tell that she was crying and he immediately asked her what’s wrong. peter left just to go to gen’s house. that was a super crappy thing to do, he could’ve just told gen he was helping a friend out. that showed he didn’t care as much as josh. anyways, there’s nothing i can do except for watch this edit over and over again. i wish the movie portrayed them as lovers not friends.

Don't get me wrong, I love Lara Jean with Peter, but I also think she would be great with Josh, and they didn't really put him as in much scenes in the movie as I hoped, also I wish they included the kiss between Josh and Lara Jean from the book, in the movie!
