Every Single Difference Between the Goblet of Fire Book & Movie (Harry Potter Explained)

Its a shame that the director didnt like the book because he said it was too long, and only read 20 pages and wanted to change a lot of things. He also had a bit of an ego as he said he wanted to outdo the director of the third film.

None of those are qualifications or qualities i would look for in a director.

I was always confused about why Dumbledore sent Sirius to gather the Order when Sirius is still wanted, and at that point the only people who know he's innocent are Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Dumbledore.

The movie was horeshit . It shld be made by alfanso curon as intended the director of the movie stated the books were thick and he was was too tired to read that lol who even says that 😂

When it came to that potions class in which Snape told Hermione he didn't see any difference after Harry and Malfoy's spells accidentally missed, the best part was the lesson being on antidotes, and Snape saying that he'd test the antidote on Harry at the end of the class. I think it's crazy that the only thing that saved Harry from potentially being poisoned to death by Snape was him being a champion and having to go to that interview. For me, this was the worst evil Snape moment, killing Neville's toad was one thing, but being ready to actually poison Harry was just out of this world.

One of if not the best book become the most disappointing movie even tho I like them all

I really dislike what they did to Barry Crouch Jr. in the movie. They made him out to be a crazy person who seems proud of what he’s done in the old memory. But in the book in the memory Barry Crouch Jr is scared to death and begs his father to not send him to Azkaban. It’s a really heartbreaking scene in the book but it’s a more scary/unnerving scene in the movie

Couldn’t disagree more. The first 2 movies were such a bore it’s a miracle the rest got made at all.

Now I get why the movie adaptation of this book is hated. A good well written TV series would have enough screen time to explain all the points the movie missed out on.

Not a BIG Harry Potter fan, seen all movies, even I consider this movie hot garbage.

I've been reading the books for the first time, but I was a HUGE fan of the films. I can understand why people did not like the movie. I was shocked to see how much of a DICK Amos Doggery was.

I actually prefer Dumbledore yelling "did you put your name in the goblet of fire" since, as they state multiple times, the tournament is extremely dangerous and harry is extremely important

In the scene of voldimort reforming his body. In the movie, the cauldron doesn't morph into his body, it melts, you can see it dibble to the ground and leave a puddle of slag

jesus christ, i now realized how much the book fans exagerate. After watching the first four of these videos i can surely say that the differences between the movies and books dont matter. The movies are amazing and show all the important things that occur in the book. They even make sometimes changes which are better

After the second movie the really took liberties... Cutting interesting things in favor of drawn out added shit.

Wow watching this really made me mad knowing how much cool stuff was left out or changed in the movie.

I love this guys videos but there is soo much bias here especially since some of the changes for the movie benefit the story and make sense more than in the book like spew along with many others. anyone that tells themselves tha Joanne's writings is water tight is crazy lol and HP is my favorite book series if anything id be bias too

Also in the movie wormtail cut off his hand with 5 fingers but in the book he cut off his hand with 4. If you look closely after he cuts his hand you will see he has his 4 finger hand remaining, and since the dark mark is always on the left hand, that means the movie got wormtails hands wrong, because they put 4 fingers on his left(remaining) hand and five on his cut right one, which was opposite in the book

I wonder why they removed Bagman, he had such a big role in the story but they just scrapped him

No wonder I never liked this movie even without knowing books. I recently listened to all audiobook and books made me understand all of the issues I’ve got with movies. And this movie now is even worst… damn it.

Goblet of Fire in a nutshell
X is introduced here in the book, at the Y event, but in the film, X doesn't appear nor is introduced until much (read: about 45 minutes) later into the movie, and also the movie cuts from Y to Z, but there's actually a lot going on between these two points in time, for example, V was introduced, but they were not in the movie at all

Hmm I liked the Book version better since it tells alot of story and characters stay true to themselves unlike the Film Version that was very off from the books.

Ron was joking. And krums eyes glazing was for kids to understand it wasn't him
