I'll take it with that 150 year guarantee, but I tried calling 7 and never got an answer lol. But I honestly thought after everything to make that missing tooth/jaw that you would have punched numbers in the top to make it look original since you did everything else top tier lol, oh well guess we can never be 100% true to the original lol.

Нежелательно обрабатывать пескоструйной и другой обработкой поверхности скольжения - убирается материал и появляется излишний люфт. Также нежелательно добиваться блеска на деталях - тоже появляется излишний люфт и снимается естественный или искусственный защитный слой. Требуется только тщательная промывка и аккуратное удаление деформаций материала, препятствующих лёгкости движения. Если точить новый винт, то в паре с гайкой - прежняя пара приработалась по профилю резьбы друг к другу. Упорную втулку и винт надо сверлить совместно, чтобы точно совпали отверстия под заклёпку.

Не знал, что тиски могут быть произведением искусства.

I worked a foundry back in the 1960s and they would cast their own welding rods from the same pour of iron as the castings. They had a number of the more complex castings that might have some defects that they would use the welding rods from the same pour to get better welds and better color match.
