I don’t get the fucking arrogance of this first guy. If I showed up drunk to a bar that someone fixed up for me I would feel so much shame.

And this 2nd base... The owner was a "slim bucket" in the first rescue, and it didn't stop him. And the second time, the real reason he leaves, is bcs for the first time ever, an expert "volunteers" to stay over after taffers crew leaves, to clean up with the mostly naked good looking girls, and she happened to be gay/lesbian and the owner walked in on it late at night, and was as confused as I was, and ask her to leave... That's when he decided to quit, when she cried to him off camera about it. Again, the owners a horrible guy, and didn't deserve it, but let's be real, if a guy expert, like one of the cooks/chefs are to "volunteer" to stay over with them girls late at night to CLEAN, would ppl have noticed then?

These ppl deserve it. But Jon isn't perfect. There's several he "rescued" with owners he loved, that went under just after relaunch. Okellys bar in St. Louis. His great historic remodel (which I loved) no one else did, the new owners immediately changed the concept.

I like when the go over the train wreck debts and losses most often 6, well over 6 figures and their monthly multi-$1,000 losses. They have to have a decent idea of Taffer's track record, right?????

And yet their highly inflated ego's (God alone knows where they get that FFS???) refuse to listen to Taffer. The capacity for self delusion is strong in humans.

Whoever thinks calling their bar “O’Face” is a great idea is an idiot.

Jon made the right decision to walk out on all of these bars but O’Face was the absolute worst one. After the episode aired, the state of Nebraska revoked their liquor license. But that wasn’t all. In 2016, the owner, Matt Overmyer was arrested on two counts of assault and intent to conduct sexual abuse towards a female employee. He served 90 days in jail and was then arrested a second time for failing to resisted as a sex offender. O’Face closed their doors for good. Jon did the right thing to leave because Matt deserves to be behind bars for a very long time. He’s a danger to the community and he will hurt anyone in order to have his way. Good on Jon Taffer to walk away because they didn’t deserve his help at all.

Update to last comment I posted on here- Matt from O'face is now- according to news articles and online media- is now facing the rest of his life in prison for failing to register as a sex offender after a sexual assault case at O'face where he sexually assaulted someone and the Council Bluffs police were called and yes there is a video clip on this site that you can look up. His wife Karen was on a trip out of the area when the assault happened.
Ed Cressy from the episode with The Dugout- was recently on Chicago news for operating his bar after the closing time hours and also because of the clientele that were being a problem. On the news station report in one clip which can be found on this site- many Chicago area and Wrigley Field area bar owners were upset on how Cressy was running his bar- and the Chicago news station that ran this story- also featured the Bar Rescue footage from the episode that featured him.
