Using Excel VLOOKUP Function with Multiple Criteria (Multiple Cells)

I am a teacher and have started working on school data. Came here looking for a formula that can help me. Though this demonstration is not exactly what I am looking for at this time, it is a good video. Appreciate!

I am looking for a Formula that can help me count on Boys who got different grades. The gender column has boys and girls. And there is the Grade column for each Term. I want the formula to look up for only boys and count how many boys got A, B C etc Grades.

this was actually helpful, but I am facing an issue, a relative reference not working after entering the array function, when I copy down the array function after CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER, and drag the formula to other cells, cells get fixed absolute reference, and all the output appear same as the one is first cell. can you please, suggest a way how to solve this issue. Thank you.
