When I was learning to drive my Mom said give truckers a wide berth, they're all on meth amphetamines. This may not be true anymore, but giving them plenty of room has saved me many accidents. They take longer to slow, have blind spots, and aren't as maneuverable as a car. You don't win against a truck.

the most distance i drove in the USA been on the I-95/ NJ turnpike,
and while driving on it, i witnessed accidents i never saw here at home,
trucks trying to jump off the off ramps,
car crossing the median while a guard rail is in the way,
cars cutting off other cars,
cars running into other cars from the behind etc.
and everything while observing ( maybe ) a speed limit...
i am German, i drive here on the Autobahn,
some parts without a speed limit... and i barley see anything close to an accident
not even in the Ruhrpot, its the most dense populated area with the densest Autobahn network!
i also drove on another 28 countries,
but the USA and Peru fighting for the first place of the most insane drivers!
and i drove in Paris and NYC!

I drove the big trucks beginning is 1972, give great credit for the amazing, timely reactions these semi-drivers provide, and safe driving. Viewing this video reminds me I could not handle driving these days. Everyone stay alert, healthy, and alive.

The last time i had to take my drivers test is when i was 15 1/2 and i'm 40 or so now....Laws change all the time, i get that, but there has to be a better way to teach people. A lot of the road issues would go away.

When i was in my early 20's i was a lumper at a local grocery Warehouse, one night we had a truck pull into receiving dragging a whole damn stop light pole off the back of his trailer. He was wasted and watching the cops search his truck they pulled over 10 bottles of liquor and 2 zip lock bags ful of white powder and one full of a green substance. This was in 2002 and i hope that guy never got his CDL back.
