Every time someone tells me that "technically, tomato is a fruit", I have to tell them "biologically speaking, yes, but they are also vegetables". Why? Because vegetable is not a biological term, it's a culinary term, and in culinary, tomatoes are vegetables.

This is what happens when you let botanists define your foods. I disagree with all those definitions… Here are my definitions:
not very sweet nor sour = vegetable
more sweet than sour = fruit
more sour than sweet = berry
inside of one of the above = seed
hard and crunchy = nut

I have literally never thought of tomatoes as vegetables because I don't like them, but I love vegetables. So I subconsciously relegated them to the lesser fruit category.
