This was an amazing tutorial! Thank you so much! It saved me so much time and money with costumer service!
ОтветитьThanks so much for the help. My rubber band had slipped off the spool.
ОтветитьIt really helped
ОтветитьIt worked and it was easy to do!
ОтветитьThanks for your help. This was a lifesaver. It worked. No need to replace motor. Brilliant video.
ОтветитьNote that the removing white cover on top of lds screws voids the warrenty. In my country roborock has 1 year warrenty but lds has 2 years so check before you void your warrenty. You may be able to get full lds replacement for free.
Ответитьsuper helpful , easy to understand, and straight to the point ! thank you so much ! no way i could have figured it out without this video !
ОтветитьHow to fix a robotic vacuum cleaner Roborok 5 - which stops working after a few minutes.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this take apart tutorial. I had a single grain of rice stuck in the spinning laser contraption and it took down the whole system. Took it apart and fixed the whole unit.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video ❤️!!!!It saved me
money and hassle to look for a new vacuum . I was about to give up and through to garbage my roborock vacuum .I thought I did everything since I changed all filters and dusted off, except that small part where motor is there have been nit cleaned . Now is working like new ☺️
Found a small rock that somehow was stuck under the lidar. Thanks!!!
ОтветитьStraight to the point , simply to follow instructions, excellent
ОтветитьThanks! In our case all it took was to gently rotate the LiDAR tower!
ОтветитьThank you! I changed the piecr ans following your tutorial I fixed it!
ОтветитьThank you! I fixed my S6 roborock just by diaassembling the motor and sensor and turning it with 9V battere. Put it back and it works.
ОтветитьThanks Nick! I got this error, found your video, and was quickly up and running again. I was sure this was going to be a huge problem to fix, but it was a quick fix thanks to you. I really appreciate your help!
ОтветитьThank you for this video!
ОтветитьSuperstar, took it apart, cleaned it, all working and good. Thank you ❤❤
ОтветитьThank you! This was super helpful.
Ответитьgreat video! Mina accidentally sucked over water, and after letting it dry it started complaining about the Lidar turret, even though it was spinning just fine. The 9v battery didn't do anything, but disassembling the laser unit itself worked. I had already cleaned everything and even though I didn't notice any hairs or dust, just taking the laser unit apart and then together again fixed it!
(I kept testing if the robot would start after each step. In fact first time it worked, it had the Lidar unit disassembled)
Thanks a lot that really helped 😊❤
ОтветитьQuite amazing.
TL;DR It worked.
Longer story:
I tried to depart it with my dad like shown above.
We didn't have a 9v battery so we just cleaned everything very well and put it back.
It didn't work.
We already started to look for repair labs and prepared for the cost.
I decided to read more comments and saw so many people wrote that just attaching the motor to the battery, actually fixed the problem.
And one awesome commenter said that you can substitute the battery with a DIY cord from USB.
We tried it again, the cord hack worked, AND IT FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!
I'm so so happy and satisfied.
Thank you dear sir for this tutorial.
it will be good to see video how to fix error1 for Q_Revo. it looks monolith and I do not understand how to get to the lidar. Same error 1:(
ОтветитьThe disassembly for my S6 was slightly different, but close enough. The 9V trick worked and Rosie is back in business. THANK YOU for posting!
Ответить.If motor is ok you can clean wıth another vacum cleaner wıthout uninstalling. Try it

ОтветитьIn my case it was saying the same error message: "please make sure the laser distance sensor is not blocked", but it wasn't the problem of the laser sensor at all.
I noticed that when turning the device on, the brush does not spin at all and the vacuum cleaner doesn't move, although you can hear that its engine works fine.. Then it takes approx. a minute for the message about the laser to be played.
So I removed the brush and noticed that there was a lot of lint and hair underneath, which ultimately was preventing the brush rotation.
Cleaning it helped the robot start working again.
Thanks. How did you connect roborock 5 to google home? 😊
ОтветитьI also had a problem with error 1, but the whole problem was in the closed switch of the upper cover of the sensor. after I left the cover screws a little loose, the problem was solved.
ОтветитьThe 9v battery trick worked!!!! Thank you so much
ОтветитьThis is the second time I came to this video. The 9v test made sure the motor works. The alcohol clean of the cornacts restored the function again. And it doesn’t have dust visible… but it worked thank you once again ❤ S50, the show must go on 😂
I love ❤ this vacuum cleaner
Ευχαριστώ πολύ, χαιρετισμούς από Στουτγκάρδη
ОтветитьThanks! Same for me, there was nothing inside except for minimal dust yet disassembling and blowing/turning the unit fixed it
ОтветитьI had a piece of grit under the turret causing Error 1. I could hear it during spin-up, but couldn't blow it out. Your tear down worked great for my Q7.
ОтветитьThank you! It helps a lot to prevent me buying something
ОтветитьHad a roach stuck in there thanks for the sharing
ОтветитьI took mine apart, jump started the motor and it worked. But then every few uses it stops working again. What’s happening.
ОтветитьWorked like a charm thanks
ОтветитьDays before Christmas, and the "LIDAR" just locked up. My wallet said "no, you can't buy a new one". Watched the video, popped it open. Cleaned around the LIDAR and heard something crunchy being dislodged. Worked just fine after that!
Thank you for helping me to save my money.
Excellent video - great job
ОтветитьThanks!!! Great video 👍
Ответитьi replace the whole module and after several cleanings, i have again the error, what can be the reason?
ОтветитьThank you, that worked for me!
ОтветитьHow can I open q7max? I dont know how
ОтветитьVery helpful! Thanks 😊
ОтветитьThx! This helped me. The belt of my LiDAR was off the rail
ОтветитьI have repaired my old well used roborock many times and have previously replaced the laser - have watched many videos on how to do these things - but I am sure your trick using the battery to check the motor saved me buying a new laser again! Thankyou!
ОтветитьI opened everything up as you showed here, blew out the dust and dander with an air blower, and wiped the lidar sensor with a wet Q-tip and then a dry one.
The Roborock works again! Thank you for this.
Thanks, it worked. I had to replace the part and now its working again.
ОтветитьReplaced the motor, works like a charm. Thanks. A note about unscrewing the motor from the housing - you better hope you have a nice screwdriver/bits because I broke two of mine in the process. The screw is extremely tiny and mine seemed seized up, but I can see you strugling a bit to get it out in the video here as well.
