Thanks you so much.
I needed this for setting up a docker container as a wireguard client to a remote network. The container is now the gateway for the other physical machines in my network too.
I'm so excited, who needs a 4 node swarm when you can simply just create a network
ОтветитьVery clear and complete, thx coffee man
ОтветитьThank you so much for going so much in depth as I’m a noob with very little experience trying to learn docker.
ОтветитьI just want to passthrough eth1 to my flux node VM 😭😭😭😭 it's been 1 year....
ОтветитьNice, and now the same with IPv6 ☝️
ОтветитьI am a REALLY slow learner. Ive watched a lot of your vids. But. Why is this smart? Im not sure i understand why one would do this. In what scenario? Yes im lost. Any hints?
ОтветитьCan you do linux container?😮
ОтветитьSeriously man, I haven't seen somebody so passionate explaining networking stuff. Thanks for the explanation and elaboration, it was fantastic!
ОтветитьWhy are you so stupidly fast???
ОтветитьHey Chuck, big fan of your work here :) Do you have any "tricks" to make the MAC VLAN ip address of the container permanent? The IPs of the containers are random after reboot...
ОтветитьI love you
ОтветитьLove watching Network Chuck. The only problem i have is you move to fast. So hard to keep up, being a noobie at this. I have to pause the video a million times to get it right. I thank you so much for making these. I now have a raspberry pie NAS thanks to you. Just slow it down please lol
ОтветитьGreat overview. Very helpful, interesting and educational. Appreciate it
ОтветитьOh Man, those drawings, make things so much clearer, than trying to read through heavy detailed and cumbersome documentation
ОтветитьI love his lectures. So much energy
Ответитьawesome made networking in docker so much easy
Ответитьjust do 'sudo -i' once instead of typing sudo all the times.
ОтветитьI got some problems in docker network configuration. I got a linux VM on a VMware host. I tried to create some containers with their own ip. I reader that i needed to activate "promiscuous mode on a virtual switch" for using macvlan in docker networking. Result: using UptimeKuma i got a lot of errors (i got no errors without promiscuous mode). So, what about a new video about docker networking in a virtual environment?
Ответитьits great so seggerate stacks and only allow inter connectivity between apps. For example i have a server running with traefik being a "rev-prox" network connecting all apache/nginx and other web facing component, a db-net for all stuff needing acces to the database and then "internal" networks for each stack talking between the components. Realy easy to run different php versions and push stuff to production from a dev vps.
ОтветитьAre all these network types configurable/manageable via k8s?
ОтветитьDocker client used with sudo o. O
ОтветитьUbuntu has mysql service
How create a docker container of django and nginx sharing a network also django should able connect to Ubuntu's mysql service
I hate how you slurp coffee
ОтветитьAre the commands being done from shell on the vm/host running docker? Or are you you running them on a machine that is ssh into the docker layer? I am running some commands but they don't seem to be working.
Ответитьcreate a video on docker persistent mounting too...
Ответитьman you are great!
ОтветитьI use vmware for virtual machine even tough I give the 8gb ram and 4 processor it still run's slow don't know can anyone help me with that
ОтветитьYasi ;) it came in, was a waste of my coffee all over my keyboard ;)
ОтветитьDocker like solution is implemented in some special software as an integral part and that's why installing only docker is nonsense.
ОтветитьDude wtf I love IT and I'm competent with computers but there's so much I wanted to learn but didn't cause I only found dull and sad videos. You're my new favourite channel, I'll learn so much!
Thanks for all!
Hey Chucks! i just created an IPvlan l3 network, i ran a container using debian and when i bash into the container, i don't have the IP or the ping command as seen below, how can i resolve the problem? given that i don't have access to the internet, i can,t install it
ip a
bash: ip: command not found
root@30e1a4baa67c:/# ping ct-2
bash: ping: command not found
root@30e1a4baa67c:/#
That was awesome video clip for docker networking.
ОтветитьCheck you know, I really like you, but I’m sorry I drink tea no coffee
ОтветитьYou're awesome! I'm huugeee! Fan of your mission!
ОтветитьIf anyone is struggling with macvlan because they're running an ubuntu server in a hyper-v host, SAME. I switched my testing over to a raspberry pi and it worked perfectly.
Ответитьso cool!
ОтветитьThat's rapid and awesome ❤. How can i attach two networks to a single docker
ОтветитьDamn powered-packed video. Thanks, Chuck.
Ответитьyou should be quicker
ОтветитьDicker, you say??
ОтветитьThis is one of the best tech tutorials I've ever seen. Fantastic job.
