You have gone thru a lot of beautiful forest, but I have been surprised at the large amount of dead trees too. I suppose from a combination of fire, disease, bugs and just natural cycles.

With all of the ridge hiking, do you have to carry water for the entire day or are there places where you can drop down off the ridge to find a spring?

New subbie here and I've binged on your super cool CDT hiking videos. Gorgeous top of the mountain views from atop the ridgeline and that beautiful sunset, WOW!! Looking forward to tomorrow's adventure. You're stamina and resilience is AMAZING! Please stay safe.
