Phalaenopsis Orchids - How I get multiple flower spikes!

30+ years ago I moved into a house that shared it's rear yard with the house next door creating one seemingly huge garden. Trees , bushes, flowering shrubs - boundaries such as fences a foreign policy. Yet all the privacy one could need.
Sadly the neighbors decided to sell but not before telling us we best take the old weathered CANE basket . The new owners were intent on erecting a fence; & they did immediately. I had the huge CANE basket moved to our yard in a similar situation. 2/52 passed & I glanced @ the plant & it had thrown a huge number of beautiful Orchids - Pink & Mauve & white- for all the years we lived there it was never not blooming. They were were used for weddings, funerals - it taught me much basically I need not believe I was jus0t not any good in the garden ,need not believe it was TRUE.

I mistakenly broke off a spike that has 6 or 7 buds! How do I save it? I’ve has it in water a few days…help!

Hi i have a mini common store bought irchid. I cut the spike years ago cause it dried out, and my orchid never grew another spike. Do u think it's the potting medium? I only have it in home depot bought orchid potting mix which is mainly bark. I never threw it out but would love to see it flower again. Because of this one, I never bought another orchid. Would love some advise.

I have this orchid. I’ve had it for about two years and it hasn’t produced a new spike. I put a picture someone told me that what it has. Air roots can you look at it and tell me if any of these errors or spikes? I feel silly asking I can’t tell the difference at this age of the plant.

I've been fortunate. I basically just put my orchids in a north or low light east window and forget them. Water as necessary. And they rebloom every year. Basically grocery store orchids (mostly mini phals).

I had this orchid bought last year .. n after blooming the spike was till greeen n I read that it might rebloom again so I kept it . But after going through ur videos , I decided to cut it n guess what I got two flower spikes .. which appeared now … thanks so much … dear . I m learning a lot from all ur videos as this is my first time growing them … I got two other orchids from an exhibition … denphals n venda. I have an orchid like the one you are talking about. It was new last year (2021) I cut the spikes off when they had finished flowering and just left it on my kitchen window sill and 2 new spikes have grown but they have grown about 2 feet tall and have bent over , they have now started to bloom , is this length natural for flower spikes or have I done something wrong?

Your leaves are so shiny. When I water my orchids I rinse the leaves off but they don't look as good as yours! What's the tip?

I just transplanted 1 yr old (for me), and in 2-3 dys a beautiful spike under 2 leaves growing like crazy.

Mine was doing so well blooming but left them in our rv without ac. The flowers fried and leaves bleached. My poor plant will be awhile coming back.

How much do you need to drop with temperature for the orchid to know the summer is over?

My orchid hasn’t produced any flowers for the last 3yrs🥺 It has healthy leaves and roots but no flowers. I keep it by the window so it can get natural light. I repotted it and fertilize it not long ago. It’s exploding with roots now, but no flowers!!!

Does this mean I should move my orchid outside in the summer? I live in Idaho and it gets in the 90’s during the day and 50’s at night.

After viewing your video I went to cut the old spike off and when I had, I noticed it had bifurcated and it had 2 small buds growing. I'm devastated!
