Elden Ring - Walkthrough Part 4: Round Table & Combat Specifics

This episode we do a quick overview of our central hub, Roundtable Hold (excluding the invasion which we'll get to later), clear the castle in mistwood, and take a more in depth look at the melee combat, scaling, and ashes of war. To briefly clarify on the debuff from Fia, you need to use Baldachian's Blessing before death or a world state reset will take the debuff away. If the blessing is still in your inventory, the debuff will persist.

There are a few minor weapons picked up this episode but the only major items of note are our first Whetstone and the Bloody Slash ash of war.

Just bought this game like three days ago, I waited because I was waiting for a DLC to drop first. I loaded up the game and immediately noticed the reason why a DLC hasn’t dropped yet, game is enormous. I got lost within 20 minutes after the battle tutorial… but Cowboy saved the day yet again with a super detailed walkthrough. Cheers to you my brother.

I have found parrying to be completely useless in this game personally, window is to small and damn near impossible to time.

Hey just came here to tell any new comers the kenith and two others have a questline for each other that can get you some goodys

u can roll over the skulls to brake them

some tip you can kill the big dragon that is laying down he wont attack u but u only can kill him with bleed morning star is the best and the dragon will give u 90000 runes

So Cowboy had already the chick in the round table hub which makes me wonder why he didn't show us how to get to the chrysalids to complete her quest and make her go to the hub and then be able to talk with her and blacksmith...

So Round Table is exactly like the Nexus, or in Dark Souls Firelink Shrine, or in Bloodborne the Nightmare. Apart from that, Ive always been a Strenght and Dex guy, ever since Ive started playing Souls series, until I experienced Royalty Class in Demon's Souls and now Im an Astrologer in ER. But old habits die hard, so now Im a Mage with Strength build attributes lol

IMO it is the most approachable but depending on how you play it can be very hard or kinda easy and just blow through the game

Man, I cannot thank you enough for doing these guides. I've never played any of the Dark Souls games so you can imagine how lost I was when I got this game. Trying on my own to figure it out (I'm stubborn) was just not enough. I never would have gotten this far without your videos!

How to get the sacred amd heavy morning star?? Its not showing for me. Can anyone please help

Started this a couple of weeks ago - god its hard! But thanks to your walkthrough for the first stages that really helped. Hardest game I've ever played, it's like Witcher on super hard, I do that and Cyberpunk but this thing, Skyrim wouldn't have a level for it! Thank you - started off with a Confessor, got levelled up quick once I worked out what to do thanks to you. Don't know how to play a confessor properly yet. Must admit I was a bit ahead of you when I watched the walkthrough and found a lot, missed a few things, blind faith and trial and error for me! Find a dungeon or some catacombs and I think - oh lets go see what's down there then - die. But lots of I died! Pain is losing runes and having to go back to where I died and go through it all again, or just run! This will make you laugh, and credit to your walkthrough, I set up a wretch character, lowest of the low, survived for about 2 hours before dying, apart from that initial death you have to go through. Excellent walkthrough, the steam is a bit quick at times but I can manage that. Found that cove soon after I got into Limgrove - wasn't too bad, realised I needed a torch to get there, then the lantern I didn't know about turned up afterwards. The game is vast!. Survived places I shouldn't have been in. My gf won't play it, she died in less than 5 minutes and she plays Witcher on Hard. Thank you Sir!

I’m a veteran souls player and even with this walkthrough. About 10 minutes in to this video I’m getting smacked by this Ash of War soldier. 2 hit kill early game? I’m just confused. Thought this walkthrough was gonna set us up.

Soon as i opened the door at the beginning i was like yea i cant do this. I actually like map markers so i get to wat i need to do quick. This walk-through is only way i can play this. They should add a dlc with all the points or something

How did you get roderika in the roundtable before completing the quest? You didn't get the thing from the castle

When we gonna start fighting some bosses 😂 I just got the game and I only giught the one boss for the bleed sword 😅

In terms of combat this is the easiest soulsborne game by far. Tye hard thing about this game is navigating and finding items to progress the main questline.

little late to the party, but you should start off with "DO NOT USE KEY NOW" instead of describing what happens when you use that key lol

After 3 episodes i was ready to take off the training wheels, but the whole map is yet to be opened. I think ill keep watching thank you.

I lost my parry timing I got from DS3 and my brain got so used to Sekiro timing that I had to force myself to learn all over again....but the guard counter has been a nice option for human sized enemies (the one with the buzzsaw sound when you R2 after guard)....but hitting a parry still makes you good when it happens

Am having loads of issues with the combat, even at the start. It's making me rage to no end. I can't kill nothing no matter how hard I try. Am starting to think this game is not for me

What do you do if you lost the horse? After I was invaded the ring was lost in my inventory.

Hmmm, this walkthrough is so great, and I knew it was going to be because I’m a long time sub-er. But, I’m not sure what is going on because I have done what Cowboy done step-for-step so far but some of the items and NPCs were not the same for me. I never got the Morningstar mace, and I don’t see the NPC cowboy spoke to after getting the “free hug” from the female NPC at the Round Table. I also am missing s few other items/NPCs that I can’t specifically remember, oh I also didn’t get anything from the chest we had to sneak to in order to avoid those huge dogs! Must be related to add-on content or something. Idk. But anyways, I’m so excited to really “get started” after following your lead on these first few episodes. I have a feeling the game is going to be fantastic!
