Alta Via 2 // The Last 50 Miles

At least the highest elevation on alta via 2 is only around 9,000 ft. In my opinion thats not too bad but ive lived most of my life above 6,000 feet though.

Great achievement and great video. But Danny, I wish you could appreciate how international your audience is, how many of those viewers have spent years to become good at English, how many of them don’t use the American measurement system. No problem with me watching the video in your language, but please at least when you talk to me about my mountains, use my measurement system. Please.

It’s like they took the East Cost Trail routing mentality and applied it the the steepes, craggiest mountains one could find!

Sweet lord, 6000 vert is 3/4 mile is steep. Like steep for stairs steep! Holy moley!

One place you might want to try out is Paria Canyon - longest slot canyon in the country. Mostly flat and doable in two days (it's 40mi long) but the canyon and views are unparalalled.

I feel like they’ve been doing a hobble of a run, I even can’t imagine how demolished their legs feel.
I felt sad inside when they hit the Ronald McDonald hut and there weren’t any hot dogs. I’d be so hungry and disappointed.

I just got done running in Chamonix and was telling my wife that a mile in Chamonix is not equal to a mile back in the PNW. Whole different level.
