I learned that the square root function and the squaring function are inverses of one another. Meaning that the equation y equals open parentheses x close parentheses squared is the same as the equation x equals square root of y.

Assist me with the following:

Make a similar comparison between exponential and logarithmic functions by first considering the equation y equals b to the power of x where b is some positive constant not equal to 1.

Then find an application of an exponential or logarithmic function.

I am sure this man was done with the “good” explanation he was getting in the school books(not always a teacher’s fault) and decided to save millions by explaining it the right and the smart way. Because this is what I have in my mind right, they could’ve make the explanation in my book so much easier and more accessible. Yet, after struggling on a new subject I have millions of way to explain it better when I find out how it works. Thank you!!!!!
