Looks like it played better on the PSP.
ОтветитьHas the updates fixed any of these issues?
ОтветитьThis is bullshit why does this always happen with these games. Yeah yeah open world is not an excuse these days. If they can’t do this stuff right then they need new people working on this.
Ответитьshit ... I'm waiting for my switch oled with this game to arrive. I've played those games in PC and now I'm disappointed dude. Is there a way that this could be getting an update without purchasing the game again? Thanks for the brutally honest but fair review which I totally agree!
ОтветитьI don't know how the switch version is the most expensive version and the worse version
Ответитьi might still try to get this on my birthday.
ОтветитьRunning fing on my switch and looks better that b4 💪 had no problems so far
ОтветитьIs Gta trilogy on switch limited edition or is it gonna be available forever???
ОтветитьCan someone explain what makes this game different to the original? The grafics are better? Seems to play the same as the original. I haven't bought the game yet and undecided on it due to the negative comments. Can someone explain? Thanks
ОтветитьThey should do another remake
ОтветитьRead me- The real tragedy is that it's $60
ОтветитьWhy didn't they just give us multiplayer. That's all we want I think. I'm probably wrong forget I said anything.
ОтветитьKeep up the great work Nintendo Life!.. ✌️
ОтветитьI played witcher 3 ,runs worse ,and way too many bugs ,these bugs at least funny lol
ОтветитьControls definitely improved, i bought it ,not ashamed nostalgic took over honestly, ill probably play it again and it should be patched ,got it for 48 ,hopefully holds its value after further patches
ОтветитьLets think about this, maybe they were making gta 6 and threw this out to keep us at bay. Unlikely but possible.
ОтветитьSo disappointing.
ОтветитьRockstar shouldn't have released the Trlogy for the Switch. They should have released GTA 5 for the Switch instead. Such a bad decision.
ОтветитьHave patches fixed any of the issues mentioned here yet?
ОтветитьThis guy is hilarious 😂 I spent the entire video laughing lmao.
Ответить90s? ❌ Naughties? ✅
ОтветитьThe fact that it costs $60 on my switch and looks like this, but $11.99 on my phone and looks great, is quite sad.
ОтветитьI don’t doubt that this game is massively flawed but you need to show those issues as you talk about them.
ОтветитьThe games are actually very good and they fullfill a thing that I (and many others) requested for a long time now, bringing the renderware games to the Rage engine. It completed the request and it looks fine.
ОтветитьDude, LA Noire runs better on the Switch than the remade trilogy. :c there’s no excuse to why these remakes are so… bad
ОтветитьBesides my last two movies tho
ОтветитьGetting this tjo then that's it yo
ОтветитьRight now it's all bugs and glitches, when will it be "optimized" on switch after a few updates? It should be awesome at that time
ОтветитьHe said it best In the beginning of the video. . . "GTA def on switch should be awesome" really it should it's an old game on a new console it should look the best it's ever been
ОтветитьThe concept of review embargoes is complete and utter shit. I'm so glad this whole debacle blew up in their faces and revealed the shambled release that is the 'definitive' edition.
ОтветитьThat sucks. I would actually love to play this on the switch...
ОтветитьGTA San Andreas runs better on my phone smh.
ОтветитьI want my money back🤬
ОтветитьGTA The Trilogy The Defective Edition
ОтветитьI was seriously waiting and ready to buy this on switch mainly for VC and SA, but man does it look like a potato graphics mod for low end pc... Freaking sad to see. If you can see anything in this blurry mess, actually.
ОтветитьTLDR: I'm playing these games on November 24, 2021 and having a great time. Sure they could use some patches but my experience has been that I am have a lot of fun, performance hasn't ruined my experience, and if you are able to go in with an open mind then you can probably have fun with these. I think if they really did Triple Remakes/Remasters for these games they easily could have charged $60 if we are talking on the level of Resident Evil 2 from it's original version to the beloved remake. Otherwise even still I can imagine them charging $40 for each game. Having 3 genre defining legendary games for just $60 is a no brainer for me. The games are a lot of fun as I am currently playing them and I imagine with continued patches they will only get better. Is anyone else really enjoying these? Im curious because I feel like one of the only people who is.
I'm playing this as of November 22, 2021 and they added an update after my first few hours playing Vice City and San Andreas. Personally I'm having a great time and all the reviews and criticism for these games across all platforms led me to believe it would be terrible. While it's clearly not the definitive edition, and some patches have been added since your videos, I'm thoroughly enjoying the romp through these games. Nostalgia and a great story combined with my very low expectations may have saved the day. The performance hasn't been too bad for me even driving at high speeds but there are some hiccups once in a while even on other platforms not running at solid frame rates/uneven frame pacing. My experience has been largely positive and I can't stress that enough. Perhaps it was me (even prior to the reviews going out) not having high expectations for these remakes but if you are someone who can doesn't mind a lower resolution and a bit of jank I think you can enjoy these easily. I think the patches will only make them better. It's too bad they launched them in the condition they did but I have good faith (however ignorant that may be) that the games will only get better and get more patches across the board. The games look great to me even on the Switch and more importantly they play well. If you look on paper seeing the games have dynamic resolution and aren't up to even the Switch system standards for 720pfor the most part and just look at the graphics I think they are good and the resolution is still an upgrade from the original games. While I would have almost rather had a straight port of the PS2 classics with little enhancements for saving and quality of life features I think these will eventually be good versions for the average player. I think nostalgia is a large part of the reason I enjoy these games and even with the lower resolution I don't mind on TV or in handheld mode and almost prefer it with the new art style because it evokes a bit of unintended nostalgia for the classics. Last point regarding the resolution is that I feel like the resolution in these games and the time before HDMI replaced AVi cables almost reminds me of the nostalgia for scan lines on CRT Televisions and the unintentional distortion of retro gaming that people often prefer turning on with developer settings or purposely paying a lot to play on an older TV. I know I'm probably in the minority here and I've never been one to put graphics and performance over gameplay but I don't feel that even for my lower standards of quality that this is anywhere near the worst I've played. I think people reasonably expect better from Rockstar and understandably so as the original games defined the company and an entire generation of gaming. They were really the pioneers for open world games in many regards. If you really want these games and can overlook some bugs I'd jump on them. If you want to get the fully patched versions I'd say it's very likely that a year from the time I am writing this comment the games could realistically still be getting patches even if they launched in a better state. Only other benefits of waiting are you can get the physical edition (which likely will just have GTA 3 on it physically), you may eventually be able to buy each game individually at a discounted price instead of all 3 so if you want to play just San Andreas or just Vice City I think that may eventually happen, and of course the games should be optimized for the best experience. All that being said no matter what they do to these builds of the games they most surely are NOT the "Definitive Editions" by any stretch of the imagination. They will need to wait years if not decades for another anniversary and get a proper team to give the respect, car, time, and attention to detail for these iconic games that they deserve. I view the games very much as I view the movies that inspired them from Scarface to Boyz N The Hood. They are classics with their stories and have aged well in that regard. I can watch Scarface over and over again. This is my first time playing San Andreas (although I've played literally every other game in the entire GTA series including handheld variants besides the PSP Version of Chinatown Wars and the early Gameboy 2D games) and I love how the story draws you in and wears it's inspirations on it's sleeves. As the lockdown continues to affect socializing in the world these games have been fantastic worlds to escape into in the few days I've been playing.
Remind Rockstar and Take two took down mods years old that improved the games before this terrible release because they didn’t want to compete,
ОтветитьI am tired of obsessing over resolution, and all the bells and whistles. No more gimmicks. I just want to play good games and not have to download 30 gigabytes or forbid even more. I don't have the unlimited data anymore where I live so I guess I am just screwed until something changes in the gaming industry. It is just not practical anymore, and that is a huge problem for me. I am thinking of buying a switch so I can have physical copies, or at least have to download less to get good games. It's getting ridiculous, the state of video games. I am about to find a new hobby.
ОтветитьHonestly the games aren't that bad, they are more than playable for the average person looking for a nostalgia trip, the frame rates and glitches are a problem but mostly hilarious...I Took a risk and went for the switch version as I love portability as opposed to my series s...unless youre a frame rate and resolution elitist you will still enjoy these games without a doubt.... And yes the switch version does look and play better than the original unless modded
ОтветитьFlukn da you Rockstar
ОтветитьRockstar is 2021s new CDPR👍
ОтветитьI'm gonna disagree wholeheartedly with the final point of this review.
Let me get this out of the way. These Definitive Edition ports are trash. They are not good. If you own the original PS2 or Xbox versions, play those. If you own the PS2 Classics or Steam ports of the original games, play those. If you want to experiment with PS2 emulation on PC, play those.
But if you're going to pick up these new versions, ONLY play it on Switch.
The PS, Xbox and PC versions look atrocious. Yes, the Switch version is lower resolution and is missing graphical features, but that's a GOOD thing. It gets closest to "that's how I remember these games looking" because it doesn't go overboard with the shiny claymation looking characters, the terrible weather effects, the silly UE4 reflections, the AI upsampled textures. Everything looks more simplistic, but that's precisely how it looked on PS2. The fact that the only way to get 60fps on PS5 is by playing the low res PS4 version through backwards compatible is even worse.
Don't buy these games. But if you're going to buy them, get them for Switch.
Cash grab.
ОтветитьThey just want your £50 that's it.
ОтветитьDon't bother trying on a different console. It's the same crappy problem. They are supposedly patching all versions
ОтветитьMore like The Defective Edition
ОтветитьSorry Alex, had to downvote this video. There was way too much emotional ranting and not enough details about the problems with this port. I agree that PS2 era games shouldn't be running badly on the Switch but more actual details would have been nice. Okay, so the game has FPS issues. Are there parts of the game unplayable because of them? Are there any parts of the game where this isn't a problem? How often do you get screen freezes (you did mention when this happens when you drive fast so that's good to know)? How close do the cars in front of you pop in? What music tracks have been left out? What's wrong with the combat controls that make them not great? Saying they're "basic, clumsy and sticky" isn't exactly saying much.
Ответитьeyes the Emulated copies of the PS2 ones on the PS4 ... I am fine. Yeah I don't need to upgrade!
ОтветитьSooooooooooo....
.....you're saying there's a chance.
Sigh*
