ОтветитьIt's kinda a good thing that we didn't discover these incredibly complex dynamics until the simpler framework (seen in macro animals that reproduce via sexual selection), evolution from a common ancestor, was firmly established.
As strictly, horizontal gene transfer is fundamentally not Darwinian evolution, but I fear coming to terms with all of this would have been too much complexity for science culture all at once.
