Yup, the new version of this feeder mount is $756. That's for a feeder that costs about $450--to make it faster to mount. Looks like the "cheaper" original version--at about $300--had some safety issues?
Spend a couple minutes searching for "lightweight power feeder for woodworking" and you'll find something cheaper, American made, than the Chinese baby feeder that mounts in seconds without magnets.

Looks like Mag tools doesn't sell that magnet pair anymore. Not sure what it cost when this video was made, but it seems they got rid of it and instead make their own power feeder mount - for 765 f'n dollars! Holy ripoff, Batman!

Disappointing - it looks like Mag switch no longer sells either the kit or the specific magnet used in this video.

Did they discontinue the base kit? I can't find it on their website using your link or searching for it.

Great post, very helpful. Before I buy one for my hobby work, in UK we have two options from Axminster Tools, one same size and build like you have (90 W) and other is 240 W, but heavier at 32kg, price of both are not much difference due the bigger one on sale now. I want it to be portable between router table and table saw. Did you ever feel the need for more power on feed roller for rip cut on table saw than the one you have? I don't want to be moving around 32kgs if I don't need that much power.

I wonder if you were to place a thin layer of rubber directly between the magnets and the tablesaw top, if it would improve lateral holding power? Of course, it's possible that it would have the opposite effect.. and could possibly reduce vertical holding power as well. I feel like it might be a big improvement laterally with only a small loss in the vertical plane. Just a thought!
