how do i upgrade the Witcher gear u start with i dont want to use anything else just the starting gear and weapons that is what i like to do is keep my starting stuff not using anything else

Fyi, I purchased this game recently and haven't loaded it up yet, but I watched a few "before you play" videos and yours is by far the best one. You speak very clearly, provide a great "why" in addition to your tips. Thank you for the effort you put into making this video, even though it's 3 years old it is brand new to me and very helpful.

I just bought the game the other day. Ive played about 3-4 hours. Ive done a couple missions and mostly killed wolves and drowners. I think ive picked more wild plants than anything else ive done. Thats why im here. 😂 Killed a noonwraith. Now I'm after a Griffin.

How you fix the sword I go to the blacksmith but is no option menu to fix it

and don't forget if you're have the next gen update activate the auto apply oil for the swords this is a god sent, can't remember the amount of times i forgot to apply the proper oil on the sword and just slog through an higher level enemy😅😅😅😅 man those oils do help😂😂

I'm starting my first play through in 2023. I got this game on sale. So far I'm liking it. So I noticed in your video I missed half those places of power. I'm already on the second part where I'm in a new region. Can I go back to the first part? Or am I stuck where I'm at?

My tip is to learn Gwent from the beginning and play every NPC you can as soon as you can to complete your gwent deck .

You missed a very important one: Don't sell stuff to just any merchant, some will pay you a lot less than others.

My biggest tip would be to not buy armor/swords from merchants and don't sweat about your baseline gear stats in general. The game is not hard anyway, master the combat instead.

I can easily beat level 35 quest with my level 11 character ... by just mastering the art of counterattack and evasion, why is that?

I was thinking about playing again, and then this video reminded me of what a tedious grind it is. It's why I have 800 hours into the game.

The tips aren't bad for the first hrs of the game but as soon as you leave the first map, you need to adapt your strategy, also taking in account that this video was made before the next gen edition this may need to be updated, and another thing that I couldn't let go is hearing this guy say "Ken" instead of Quen, but whatever!!!

Also, follow the story's logoc. Don't try to travel to Skellige immediatelly, wait at least until you have finished some key missions in Velen that will give you extra skills, gold, and experience.

Only thing people need to know is get the moon sword right away when u can and ditch the Witcher weapons into stash because if u sell them u will never get them back blizzard potions is what he uses in the show for his eyes I would suggest the sue peri or version and don’t go buying food it’s a complete waste and will end up getting killed use your health potions u will get a surperior version when u do the wild hunt first battle the first thing i would suggest doing to is getting all the Gwent cards before you start the tournament and don’t romance triss and do everything Ciri wants to do otherwise bad ending for u i last suggest getting all the Witcher gear crafted when u take on the wild hunt leader at the very end with high Quen and fire signs strengthening
