I'm 71yrs old and live in Merseyside in the UK
ОтветитьI swear you always know EXACTLY when to say "look up." I felt like you were in the same room looking directly to me haha I get distracted easily. You are an amazing teacher thank you so much!
ОтветитьWow! Your lesson has taught me so much in a short time. I received my ukulele for Christmas and love it.
ОтветитьHi. Love your lesson. I'm 56. I play drums, rock, metal. Hopefully I can remember what I just learned tomorrow. 😁
ОтветитьI'm 69 & just taken up this challenge😮
ОтветитьI'm 68 years old, fighting cancer with time on my hands. I always wanted to play an instrument, so now, thanks to this great teacher, I can put 4 chords together and I FEEL LIKE ERIC CLAPTON! Thank you so much Bernadette for bringing music into my life. I cant wait to see how the other lessons come together.
ОтветитьC for cello
ОтветитьAloha from BI here! Mahalo nui for this lesson. I was looking up how to play Happy Birthday and you came up! I will definitely have to watch at least 10 more times 😅 Someone dragged me to a ukulele class and I used a loaner. I can’t believe I just ordered my very own ukulele. This lesson definitely breaks down the learning of the ukulele to be more manageable and not as intimidating as my first class 😁. Mahalo again! 🙏🏼
ОтветитьI love that you kept reminding me to look up 😂 I’m so glad I clicked on your video. I borrowed a ukelele from the library. This is so much fun!
ОтветитьThis absolutely the best online lesson I've come across! Thanks very much,
ОтветитьYour passion for teaching makes me learn ❤
ОтветитьYour approach is appreciated and your patience even more. Been trying to rush through the process in all my previous attempts. Step by step with good fundamentals will be better.
ОтветитьI love the way You teach Ma'am it was so definetly clear i love it
ОтветитьHi Bernadette! My husband has a business trip planned to HI and since I'm nursing a shoulder injury, I was planning on just lying on the beach when I saw the hotel had Ukelele lessons. That brought me here! Now I have a new Ukelele from your shop which sounds great and is very pretty ( Enya Bougainvillea ). I'm starting the 30 day challenge , and I wanted to thank you for the lessons! You are wonderful and have a very sweet voice!
ОтветитьIm 22 and im learning to play a banjo ukulele! Its played just like a regular uke, but has the sound of a banjo. Its so fun learning to play an instrument!
ОтветитьTHANKYOUUUUU🎉❤❤!!!
ОтветитьBest video I’ve seen yet for starters !
Ответитьthanks.for this. inspired by granddaughter being given a ukulele. Also saw Amelia Coburn at a festival a number of years ago. Check her out if not heard her. She's amazing. anyway starting on my journey and may evolve to guitar later. a bit of a change from clarinet/ recorder which is what I learnt years ago.

Ответить51 yo & a mother of 3 young adults children from Malaysia. Thought I'm too old to start. So happy to have come across your channel. I've always dream of playing an instrument & singing on my own. Hope this comes true soon. You are a great teacher indeed. Thank you ❤

ОтветитьHi I’m a 77 years younger 😂lady and also a cancer survivor. Try to find a video that can teach me how to play ukulele ,I’ve clicked so many videos none of them interest me until I find your channel. I watched the whole video and of course following your instructions, for a beginner like me I’m sure I can do it. Thank you so much that I found you. ❤
ОтветитьIt would be VERY helpful if you could show the cords on the screen like you did with the C cord.
ОтветитьSiyo and Wado from Oklahoma! I’m in my 30s and picked up the uke two Christmases ago when my parents bought me one as a gift. Your teaching style has been the most effective for me so far and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and skills!
ОтветитьTysm Ma'am I learned it one by one!
ОтветитьI use websites to tune my ukulele and it is just like a clip on tuner
ОтветитьI am 77 yrs. Old I got a ukulele this past Monday. I keep watching this video at least once a day, and trying to practice different times through the day. I am determined to learn to play. Do you teach any hymns on the ukulele I don't know how to read music? Thank you for your lessons.God Bless
ОтветитьGreat first class. I have a tenor size Ukulele and I use a strap. Is that ok to do? Thank you
ОтветитьGreat Ukulele introduction. I’m French (leaving in France), 51 years old. I come to the Uke after playing the guitar for 4 years, thus I’m not exactly a complete beginner with stringed instruments. Love your pedagogy. I’m interested in the Hawaiian style to start with the Ukulele and looking forward to have a lot of fun with it. Thank you very much for this long video that covers a lot of ground. I’m looking for more advanced lessons, but it was a great reminder and I was captivated by this tutorial :)
ОтветитьBest teacher ever ❤
ОтветитьI'm 52 and I've been a bass and guitar player for many years but I had yet tried to learn the ukulele until now. Your videos are your style of presentation and super easy to follow and it just makes me happy to play along with you!

ОтветитьHello do u have any chord substitutes for third finger, I had a fracture snd ended up with trigger finger, need to take pressure off.
ОтветитьI'm a 66 year old cattle rancher in North Central Montana. It's 20 degrees below zero outside but it's warm inside as I'm strumming along with your excellent Ukulele training Bernadette! When I get things down with this uke I'll go out to the cattle and play for them (when it warms up). Thanks a bunch!
Ответитьgreat introduction, Bernadette, much better than the music school I have been tonight..will follow your course! THANKS from Germany ❤
ОтветитьTq for sharing..❤
ОтветитьWhy do I have to go through 4 minutes of adds to get to your video? I can't even fast forward or skip the ad
ОтветитьHi. Your "Look up"s are all so perfectly timed! I'm a 51-year-old from Panama with absolutely no musical background or training whatsoever, who's son had a Mahala laying around, so I picked it up and came upon your video. After following your instructions, I feel like I can do this, thanks to you. With some practice, that is. My fingers hurt from playing the strings, but I'm having fun. You are an amazing teacher! Thank you so much. (My son said I can keep the ukulele! LMAO so I'll think of a name for it...)
ОтветитьI am in uk and I am 69 and learning the uke first time your lesson was very calming and helpful thank you ❤ l hope to progress 😊
ОтветитьThank u for making it so easy for me
ОтветитьYou’re amazingly captivating as a teacher. I just came by before attending an 8-week ukulele for beginners course at the community college, but you’re going to be a hard act for any use teacher to follow! I will use your channel to supplement my RW learning.
ОтветитьHello Bernadette. I am 67 years old and taught English and history for 34 years to middle and high schoolers. I appreciate good teaching, and you are definitely a good teacher. After watching this video, I feel a little more comfortable with the chords you presented. I am brand new to the ukulele, and hope to join a retiree ukulele group here in Sun City, AZ. My only problem is that I have rheumatoid arthritis and holding my left hand in the Lego style hurts my wrist after a while. Any recommendations?
Ответитьtell me why she keeps saying look up as soon as I look down it's scaring me 😭
ОтветитьWhat is lookup??? And girl your tempo changes all the time 😮
