Same issue with my 2012. It got to the point where it would shutdown. I replaced mine about 3 days ago and no issues so far. I hope I didn't curse myself. at 250K, I can't complain. However, I am hoping for another 100K. Have you seen the prices of a new Jeep? I wish my pay went up that fast.

Did you ever do an update after you changed it? My 2012 manual is doing the same exact thing I almost died when I heard you explain what yours was doing because you really can’t explain that feeling when it kind of pushes or let’s go whatever you wanna call that so thank you for finding the words to explain what it was doing. I have used to see foam dry gas I thought maybe it was water in the gas tank but mine is doing exactly what you just explained so I guess I’m gonna get on Amazon and order the pot and change that but that says it was a year ago, so can I get an update on that didn’t fix it? Is it still doing that in every or any gear his mind just doing it at random to please let me know

Great Video. My 2015 JK Wrangler Sahara manual trans was constantly loosing a bit of throttle then adding a bit of throttle on its own, back and forth, without me moving the throttle. Perhaps 10 times a minute. did it with more magnitude when cold. No codes. I replaced the crank position sensor per your video. I've driven about 20 miles since. problem is gone, the fore-aft jerking sensation is gone. Thanks !!

I'm having the exact problem and maybe it's not related but sometimes the engine stays at higher rpms for a second after taking it out of gear.

I have the same issue with my 2018 jlu. Mine is a manual also and I believe the main problem lies in the clutch. The stock clutch is crap. Too light a flywheel and no grip from the disc. You have to give it a little more gas, as the crappy disc and light flywheel makes it bog down. I'll have to look into the CPS, though. I'd love to replace the clutch with a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, but it's very expensive. $$$

Way to go! 2013 Sahara tricked out. Started doing that about a year ago. Have had it in for that and other things, no luck. Watched your video and replaced the CSPS in about 10 minutes. Took care of it. Thanks again 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

You are the man! Been having the same problem and discovered your video. All good now. I have a 2013 manual jku. I thought it could be the transmission or maybe the engine. Thanks for posting.
