Good video. I definitely have tire noise thank god. I was worried i would be replacing another set of bearings. It’s the steady noise when decelerating. Ill have to get the truck aligned and the tires spin balanced and rotated. Big worry off my chest

I have a 2017 Chevy Impala and it isn’t making noise when j go side to side hut it sounds like a boat engine i guess and it goes away when i turn right but still goes when i turn left. And it goes away if I’m stationary.

I got a tire rotation and an alignment now I’m hearing a whirring everywhere I go and it’s driving me insane, is it possible they didn’t do something correct? It was some 18 year old stoner looking hippy with AirPods in working on my car.

yea bro, i appreciate the video, i got new tyres and the sound didn’t change, my alignment is bad and it seems that “woo woo woo” noise has been happening a lot, i wasent sure if it was tyres or bearing issues. Since my alignment is bad i believe that is were the sound is coming from.

I am a mechanic for 35 years the best way is to jack the car up and spin the wheel by hand and also feel for side play, you should rub your over the tyre tread and feel for uneven wearing

I bought a Honda pilot that was super noisy at even 5 miles per hour and the tire tread were wavy as they can be and at 55 it was vary noisy. A vehicle I currently have just suddenly had a noise that sounds vary similar and get louder if I take load off the affected side. I'm going to swap that tire to the rear and see if the noise moves with it if it does its a tire if not most likely a bearing. I've changed over 20 wheel bearing on my vehicles and friends and only one of them ever had any movement or noise when jacked up and tested.

I once drove a car with terrible cheap tires and they sounded exectly like a bad wheelbearing. In corners the sound dissappeared but it did that in both directions, while a bad bearing would get louder in the opposite direction.

A constant growling is another clear sign of a bad hub or wheel bearing. Unfortunately, sound likes to telegraph and sound like it's coming from the opposite side of where it's originating from. A good and thorough inspection will usually point one in the right direction.

Hey man good video. I got a new truck, with new tires( bf Goodrich all terrain t/a) I did the side to side with the steering wheel and the noise didn’t change, the truck drives smooth, doesn’t vibrate, when I slow down the hum seems to slow down with the truck, in your opinion tires or wheel bearing ?

Hi and thank you for your simplicity in explaining. I just bought Corolla se 2023. On speed from 50 and up I have this “wo wo wo” sound and goes away when slowing down. Is it tires noise? Also what gas you recommend for this car? Thank you 🙏

Hi mate, brilliant video. I have a 2019 1series (24,000 miles) and there is a drowning noise when I go over 50mph, really noticeable when I get to 70mph. I replaced 2 front tyres today as they were near the limiter and there is still the same noise.

Mechanic said there couldn’t be a bearing away with such low mileage but I assume it has to be that? Back tyres are like new so it is not them. Running Bridgestones all round so high quality rubber.

Tried weaving left and right and can hear a slight difference in noise while I do it but nothing major.

I have like a growling sound when turning left at the roundabouts usually(so at low speed) front left tire. Do you think that is the tire? If so, why doesn't make the same sound when turning right? Also i see that the tire same tire, has a higher pressure than the other ones. I have a mercedes w205 220d 2016

Daughters 2014 C-Max Energi had tire noise that changed when the original 9 year old tires were rotated, front to back, with the cheaper 5 year old tires previous owner had replaced them with. The original Michelins had not, quite, gotten to the tread wear indicators but, because of age, and the Hankook were in the wear indicators all 4 were replaced with 70,000 mile Michelins. Because of radio volume, and the noise started gradually, she didn't realize how loud it had gotten. Good quality street tires tend to be quieter than cheap ones. Inflation and rotation.

On our 2013 G37 I suspect previous owner(s) put in the wrong power steering fluid and that is the noise I hear when driving. Nissan/Infiniti/Toyota uses Dexron ATF, NOT US style power steering fluid, which is what I believe is in the G now. Getting a pump from harbor freight today and getting started on this project...

I jack the vehicle up and spin the rims/tires. If a wheel hub/bearing is bad, you can hear the grinding when you spin the rims/tires. Plus moving from side to side will cause the pitch change for sure while driving. I'm hoping the noise we are hearing on our 2012 G37 is the tires, not the trans as I'm 90% sure it's not the wheel bearings. The passenger side is super quiet no noise at all when I spin things, the drivers side has a tine bit of scraping sound but just barely and I attribute that to the brakes barely touching. Older tires from 2015 & 2018 on the car now, replacing the 2015 ones Tuesday and seeing how that affects the noise we are hearing.

I just got brand new 4 BFGoodrich tires and when driving on the highway and the speed goes above 80km/h I start hearing this cyclic Wooo Wooo Wooo noise and it's getting worse with increasing the speed. I guess according to the description and what many people are saying in the comment section it's because of the tires, but they're brand new ....... just bought them, shall I think of changing them again?

Another useful tool that works well for us DIY'rs is a stethoscope...For listening for vacuum leaks, engine noise, and bad wheel hubs..Usually even if a bearing is slightly worn, while spinning and listening against the rim or hub (wheels off the ground obviously) youll hear a metal on metal noise through the stethoscope...

Just went through this..Was positive it was a rear bearing.. Nope! What made it difficult to tell fir sure 1. Loud exhaust 2. Subaru bearings don't usually have "play" in them unless severely worn. 3. I had a noisy roller bearing in my gearbox at the time, adding to the tire noise a humming sound..Issue is noisy ass GT Champiro tires plus I need adjustable rear arms in order to get my alignment perfect since coilovers
