My laptop has said this ever since I got it but my fingerprint scanner was working. It lights up when it is ready to scan your finger but it hasn't been working for a while now. This has happened a lot but usually, a windows security update fixes it. It has come back yet. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I have done the steps and it didn't help anything.
