That mask is a pollution mask as it has a breathing unit. Please update yourself with the basics first, because if I'm not mistaken this is a kind of survival chanel. Before your knife in the wilderness comes the mask in the city. Stay safe Man

During the pandemic, I'm always with my pj's. But I decided to look like the active lounge outfits or sports fashion. My edc during this pandemic consisted of...
- bandana
- pen and note pad
- small lighter (w/duct tape wrapped around), quarter (tool) and a burts bee's chapstick (in one headphone case)
- travel waist pouch consisting of my- wallet, extra masks, dog poo bag (dog owner), and phone
- small knock-off swiss army knife
Otherwise this pandemic, gyms were closed. However, using just body-weight exercises. I gotten stronger and yet agile since last year.

I REALLY LIKE THE KNIFE, BUT I'M KIND OF HOOKED ON COLD STEELS 4MAX WITH THE TRIAD LOCK. WHO THINKS THE LINER LOCK ON THIS KNIFE IS STRONGER AND TOUGHER THAN THE TRIAD LOCK.

Add filters to the vents. Mask with vents do not meet the CDC recommendation. The idea around wearing masks is to slow the transmission. Masks with vest don't slow the spread according to studies.

Our area isn’t allowing mask with exhalation valves anymore, as they don’t protect others if you have Covid

I enjoyed the video, but I never buy expensive stuff. I have decent flashlights, but I buy them in local stores based on lumens, operating time and then price. But the knife is beautiful. Anyway it's the gear choices that apply to all of us and is most relevant issue regardless of brand or prices. Look forward to more stuff.

FYI, the mask will filter out virus for you but it does not protect those around you if you are asymptomatic. If you have to be around older people, might want to wear something that blocks the exhale.

Masks with the external vent do not protect the people around you which is the primary intent of the population wearing masks: to keep the wearers particulates out of the air.

The active carbon does not filter out any particulars nor does is filter out viruses, what does is the whit filter material on the front of the mask the active carbon in those masks is only a sales gimmick there is to little active carbon to provide any protection against organic gasses of vapors (VOC's) An N95 mask filters out at least 95% of particulate matter whit a size of 0.3 micron. Bigger and smaler are filtered out more efficient as the size of 0.3 micron is the hardest to filter out. The C-bug whit a size of (average) 0.125 micron is subject to Brownian motion it's inertial mass is so low that it is being smashed around by other particulates like a bouncing ball. This is Brownian Motion and slams the virus in to the filter fibers where it gets stuck. Bacteria whit a size of closer to 0.3 microns are harder to filter out. So the N95 respirator or an equivalent to that actually gives the wearer viral protection (a home made cloth mask does only prevent the spread of the C-bug). The two valves help exhaling and the buildup of carbondioxide in the mask bud this mask will get moist on the inside. The RZ-mask whit the particulate filter is a good choice for wearer protection although it has valves it prevents the launch of moisture particles when speaking and so protects others from infection as well. Stay safe and wear the mask!

Well the small multitool is not a Leatheman Squirt, it is a Leatherman Style PS. One that i carry in my EDC, my knife is a Spyderco PM2. My other knife and multitool is a Victorinox Compact. My Flashlight is a Kjell & CO with one mode light, on my keychain i carry a small backuplight and a whistle beside my keys.

I have a similar mask. The problem with those, is the relief valves. It provides a little protection, from those around you, but if it turns out, you are sick, it does not protect anybody from you.
The main purpose of the mask is to catch droplets and particulates from spreading. If you are sick and infectious, those valves provide no filtering on the exhale. So if you have, that mask doesn't do anything for those around you. Especially while exercising.
Ditch the valves, they really aren't doing anything for you. The mask really doesn't resist airflow that much, in either direction, while the valves filter nothing being exhaled by you.

I've been looking into the 5.11 jeans as I have been wearing 5.11 tactical pants in tan, green, and brown for years. Long lasting, comfortable, dry quickly, etc... My only concern is in the reviews the jeans are always blowing out at the crotch area and the front pockets are tight. What do you think?

Just saying, heard that those mask with the “breathing device” is known as “selfish mask”. Yes, it can protect you from breathing in the possible virus but it also let you breathing out without filter if you actually a virus carrier. Some people don’t have the obvious symptoms and not realize they are actually a carrier, so a person wearing this kind of mask may actually spreading the virus to the society...

The flashlight that you're carrying(Wowtac BSS V4) is not only a bit too big for most peoples EDC and the tail click switch is also very loud, so if you wanted to stay hidden while trying to turn the flashlight on and use the minimal amount of lumen output the loud tail click switch would make your presence known and give away your position. Also, a lot of places consider the crenulated bezel at the front of the flashlight as a type of weapon. The crenulated bezel on this flashlight is a lot harder to explain to the police than a more discrete tactical pen.

You said the blade of that WESN retained an edge like nothing you've ever seen before in any other blade? Really the blade of this WESN knife is only made of CPM S35VN, which means that you obviously haven't had many knives before or knives made with any type of quality materials before because CPM S35VN is towards the beginning of the super steel category and has been surpassed many years ago by a lot of blade steels with much better edge retention. Is this WESN knife your first "high end" knife? Your not a real knife person or "knife aficionado" as you would say because I can name about 15-20 different blade steels that I've used which have much superior edge retention than CPM S35VN and are easy to buy because they are standard on most quality knives these days. For example - CPM S45VN, D2, CTS XHP, HAP 40, CPM Rex45, Elmax, ZDP 189, CPM 10V, CPM M4, M390/CPM 20CV/CTS 204P, CPM S110V, CPM S90V, CPM S125V CPM 15V, Maxamet, CPM Rex 121 ect...

WESN, really? The Survival Outpost is carrying a WRSN knife? WESN and the James Brand are two knife companies who make very overpriced knives for hipsters!!!! Real "knife aficionados" know that WESN is very overpriced and made for hipsters, so they absolutely avoid WESN and instead get knives with the same or better materials that are more reasonably priced and have much better designs!!!

Those vents make the mask ineffective at filtering your own exhalations, which is most of the reason to wear a mask...

In case of societal breakdown I always carry:
- Tactical bandanna (to wipe my tears away when I get robbed by bandits)
- Tactical fleshlight (to make love to after my wife leaves me for the leader of the bandits)

-Tactical noose (so I can end it all before the bandits come back to steal my tactical fleshlight)

I've been eyeballin that new Black Scout EDC light, both for myself and my wife. We're rollin with Olights right now. I carry an OD green Zippo and OD green Kershaw Leek with a blackwash blade. Other than that, we keep a full blown trauma kit with CAT tourniquet, Israeli bandages, Quik Clot combat gauze, Hyfin chest seals, plus tons more, down to otc meds. There's always a Get Home Bag in the vehicle as well. Those 5.11 jeans look really nice. My wife's EDC is more substantial, her purse is a Condor E&E Bag. She has what i do plus a headlamp, pepper spray, bandana, Tactical Pen, and a Leatherman multi tool. Lol my woman is cool af. Me in girl form, what more could you ask for lol.

I always keep a leatherman in my edc pack but the squirt I use everyday at work and never leave home without it. Couldn’t imagine not having it. That blade is sweet and I luv the design.👍🍻
