Where is the midi track? Sequencer Quantizer, etc. etc.?

i dont know how to setup my midi controller in davinci... how do i link it so davinci can recieve midi input?? i have a novation launchkey mini

I'm trying to add some music with my midi keyboard but for some reason even though resolve is saying it detects my keyboard and I can use the virtual keyboard on the VST, It makes no noise or detects when I physically press my MIDI Keyboard?

No midi editor in Fairlight is a major bummer, it means you can't get rid of your DAW for scoring. It would be very nice if we could just stay in DR all the time.

Is this possible on the free version?

Is there a way to play a sound from a VST without having an external midi keyboard? For example on Cubase you have a virtual keyboard in the transport, thanks 👍

How do you get davinci to recognize your VST's? It's not pulling mine up.

This is what i always wanted to do with davinci résolve. I am a Filmmaker but also a Beatmaker. Using my instrument vst that i use with protools or other daw to Compose musique for my vidéos. All thé vidéo i havé seen in you tube talk about only mixing in daVinci but nothing on how to use vst to compose music with davinci. You are thé only one i havé seen who explain that. Thank you. Keep doing some tutorials about that in your Channel ,il woukd be really helpfull for all thé music producers who want daVinci for the vidéo and Music compositing. I wish that fairlight will use in the futur more easy the same methods and workflow than the music production Daw (protools,Logic ,etc...) use, for rooting, mapping, bus ect... because it looks different in davinci. I have subscribed in your channel 🙂

I wish you could use VST instruments from within this software. Like program the notes on a piano roll. That would be a game changer.

very interesting. didnt know that is possible. So i got it working the way you explained and could record a vsti output onto a track. How would the patching work if you want to lets say have 3 channels with different vst instruments and dont want to keep repatching things all the time just to hear anything. Is there a way to set this up? I guess there night be a way to patch it or using bus format screen but I did not figure that out yet.
