Hi, reading the other comments this must be a great tip. There's just one thing. When I openen and analyze the two waveforms in my Channel-Eq, tghe waveforms diappear after approx. 3 seconds. So I cant really start to "dig the gaps" between the frequencies. ithe only thing i can do, is toi memorize it and then fill it up . do you have an idea way the waveforms dont stay like in your video ? thanks :)
ОтветитьAwesome tip! Saving it as a preset will save me a ton of time. 🙏
ОтветитьThis is sick! I been adding the limiter on my main clip and adjusting there and then changing adding the dialogue feature over that, then I lower my music just a little bit, was I doing it wrong ?
ОтветитьThanks for the great tip! However it seems like when I pause...the waveforms disappear. Any idea how to keep them up when I pause?
ОтветитьDUDE! this is amazing thank you
ОтветитьGreat advices here thanks for sharing, very precise and accurate.
ОтветитьI come back to this video so often because I keep forgetting. 😂 No clue why it doesn't have more views. This is SO important. Thanks Dylan!
ОтветитьThis video was killer!
Ответитьquick to the point and all in 4 minutes..thank you
ОтветитьWow - mind blown. I will be trying this on my next video. Very cool thank you.
ОтветитьGreat tip. Got to try this for sure!
ОтветитьLove this short but SO useful tutorials Dylan, thank you very much!
ОтветитьDylan, you create so much value for editors/creators. I don't think I've commented before but I watch all of your videos lately. I still can't nail my audio, but it's a me problem I think. Thank you for all you do! You should be blowing up soon I'm sure.
ОтветитьHO-LY SMOKES! This did wonders for my music EQ. I have always just balanced it with volume only. But this is actual sound design. THANK YOU X 1M times!!!
Ответитьthank you for ur videos!
ОтветитьJust followed these instructions for my next video going live on Tuesday, worked like a CHARM. Thanks Dylan!!!
ОтветитьThere is a great plugin for this purpose, it might work inside fcp: Trackspacer by wavesfactory.
ОтветитьI've got a clip ruined by a cheap Sony Camcorder that had the tape drive motor whining into the audio. I used your method to analyze and isolate it. I improved the audio and it is now usable. Thanks!
ОтветитьExcellent as ever
ОтветитьGreat tutorial Dylan! I love the idea of adding the EQ to the dialogue as well to see the frequencies 😄🙌🏼
ОтветитьThanks for tip. I will never understand why iMovie has auto audio ducking but not FCP.
ОтветитьWeird coincidence that I need this right now and you just happened to post about it. Also, I noticed you stopped adding click sound effects for every click and just kept it on the important ones. It sounds great this way! Thanks for the help.
ОтветитьSubtractive EQ. Have a look at sidchain compression. It lowers the volume of music based on the signal from the vocal. Used in music all the time to clear space for vocals.
ОтветитьDefinitely a good tip. You won't really need to use the EQ Effect and Analyzer if your ears are well-tuned... Just find your in-and-out points where you want to adjust the music track volume and click "Option+K" to add key frames at those points. Then you can drag the key frames up/down or side-to-side as needed. You can really fine tune it this way, especially when you want to punch up a gap in the voice track with some louder music, or gradually fade the music in or out.
ОтветитьGreat video thanks🤗
Ответитьreally good edit skill and well demonstrated...thanks . love the range tool delete....im doing that today!
ОтветитьDude as a DJ, straight up been "Notching" for years, even in Final Cut but I swear I haven't anyone talk about this for Muggles. FanFreakinTastic 🤙🏽 This is a great reminder that just because we know stuff that is almost muscle memory, we should find a a way to teach it. Mahalo for the reminder.
ОтветитьCool trick, Can't wait for a sound design for documentary film if any chance
Ответитьyou are the man
ОтветитьThis sounds fabulous 😂 another fabulous tip and helpful tutorial! Always so fantastic in delivery and content ! Love it buddy
ОтветитьWhat about auto ducking? Any recommended plugins for that?
Ответитьim the 1000th viewer
ОтветитьThanks for the tip
ОтветитьIn the Audio mixing world, this is called a Notch Filter.
Ответитьthis was so helpful, thank you!!!
ОтветитьVery good Video again Dylan! Thank you - keep on going with this format of FCP-tips!
ОтветитьOmg! Thank you so much for this! Please please make more ! 😮❤
ОтветитьThese are great tips that everyone should do, but IMO that is a little too aggressive of an EQ reduction on the music. You're essentially cutting out all the frequencies except the super high and super low frequencies.
ОтветитьAll your stuff is so freaking concise and helpful!
ОтветитьThanks, great video
ОтветитьExcellent information. Thank you!
Ответитьoh thanks for this tip
ОтветитьThank you Dylan for another great tutorial
ОтветитьWow.. what an awesome technique. I'm going to try that on my next video where I have music playing. Thanks so much !!
ОтветитьGreat advice!
ОтветитьThis was so damn helpful. Thanks Dylan.
ОтветитьI'm that guy.
ОтветитьThank you so much for these videos 💛
