Your the king of the garage band iOS.
ОтветитьMine just assigned it all to piano, how can I fix it?
ОтветитьToo bad Garageband IOS still won't allow Export of midi files, which is what I really need
ОтветитьGreat tutorial video. Thank you very much.
ОтветитьThis is brilliant! I do song parodies, and until now I’ve had to create my backing tracks from scratch. If I can find the titles I need, this will be a GAME CHANGER! Thanks mate!
ОтветитьHello Pete! First of all, thank you for these videos, I am learning a lot with you. I have a question, if you can help me: can I import MIDI files from Guitar Pro 5 to GarageBand by any way? I usually program drums in Guitar Pro because it is more easier than doing directly in GarageBand, so there is a way to do it? Thank you again for all your videos!
ОтветитьHiya Pete great video. Is it possible to change one of the instruments for one of my AUv3 plug ins. Such as poison or DigiKeys?
ОтветитьHi Pete. I’m having trouble with GarageBand. First of all I import a lot of midi from MuseScore or Sibelius. Up until yesterday every time I would import midi from these programs it would automatically assign the correct instrument(s) to each track. However now it only assigns the synth piano sound to every midi file that I create. The weird thing is that the old .mid files that I have work fine but the new ones from yesterday and today get assigned the piano sound. Just wondering if you have any solutions since you run this informative channel. Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьHey ya Pete. Was wondering if you know how to change the instrument of a midi note drum track? It shows up as classical grand piano and it won’t allow me to change to acoustic drums. Would appreciate it if you had any work arounds or advice. Keep up the good work, mate.
ОтветитьHey Pete, I’m trying to make 8 bit versions of songs with GarageBand, but the keyboard I’m using for the 8 bit sounds is, well, a keyboard. Issue is that the MIDI drums are not formatted that way obviously. I could just begrudgingly record drums myself but that would be a painful process, and I’m looking for a shortcut where I can convert one to the other somehow, or find some way to copy paste. Hope you understand what I mean. You can’t drag a drum track into a keyboard track which is an issue for me.
ОтветитьHi Pete, yamaha sequencer, how do I import individual midi sequences onto garagebamd ios please,
I am using midi out keyboard to steinberg ur 22 mk 11 interface(midi in) then lightening into garageband
Thank you so very much…aha! Thank you!
ОтветитьString theory ft Hollywood strings seems like a nice song to feature the Hollywood strings lol
ОтветитьThanks Pete. Helpful as always. Are there other free midi download sites you could recommend?
ОтветитьNice tutorial
ОтветитьHi Pete. Just a thought. It would be great to do a deep dive into using/building a midi track with maybe some recorded audio tracks, vocals guitar, keys to build a complete ‘backing track’ for live playing. I know the copyright will be a problem but you may be able to start with some generic blues midi track or something similar. 👍🇦🇺
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. I am trying to figure how to trigger sounds in GarageBand with a midi controller.
ОтветитьPete, Hi: I’ve tried to import a MIDI file in the form of a drum track from sample tank. It works in theory, only that it assigns it to a Grand Piano voice track and it won’t let me convert it to drum sounds… Any suggestion ? Cheers René
ОтветитьAs usual, top notch tips 👍🏻🤘🏻
ОтветитьHey Pete! I’ve used GarageBand iOS on my iPad Pro since I started recording music and have largely loved it. However, there are obvious limitations with mixing and I can never get my vocals to sound just right in the mix. I’ve been on the fence about getting Cubasis 3 and have seen some of your videos on it. It looks pretty neat but before I pulled the trigger on it, I was curious if you thought that Cubasis was superior to GarageBand in regards to recording/mixing vocals and overall track mixing? I need a DAW with more (and better) options for vocals and for the mixing process. Thanks!!
ОтветитьGreat segment on importing and using pre-made MIDI files. Any tips on how to determine GB compatible MIDI files from non-compatible? I've had mixed results - some work, some don't, including ones that I created from my DAW or an app. It would be great if there was a "GB compatibility MIDI checker" app or something like that where you could save yourself some time.
ОтветитьGood stuff Pete! I will definitely play with this at some point.
ОтветитьPETE, please help, I want to STEREO RECORD a classical guitar using 2 mics, and a 2 lines interface.... but I don't know how to do it on GarageBand iOS ipad. Can you please assist 🙏🙏🙏 Thaaaaank youuuuu
ОтветитьThis channel has a lot of value in the music part of content creation.
ОтветитьI tried but it says garage band does not support midi files
ОтветитьI love the chimera hammer!
ОтветитьYo!
