Anime like Baki and Dragonball Z inspired me to lift weights, be disciplined, and live a bodybuilder life style. Used to be 6'3" 195 lbs in high school, now im at 6'4" 247 lbs (not totally ripped, with a little fat) but i honestly would not have found the motivation without these types shows.

Though the new anime is more updated and more pleasing to look in terms of cooler and visuals, the classic has WAY better choreography and animation even for it’s time, personally if the anime had nearly as good choreography as this OVA, I would say it’s definitively better
