There in arm rests in the back seats middle.
ОтветитьWhat do you consider an early td30 please, as I m just looking for one 🙏
ОтветитьI'm beginning to think that the mechanic doesn't know what his talking about. These rigs are hella reliable especially the petrols and the TD diesel series are bulletproof. Everything needs a catch can apparently and only certain brands are problem free 🧐
ОтветитьI'm in usa and would love a patrol
ОтветитьLook for black smoke" 😂
Mate black smoke isnt bad
aw man...the petrol patrols crap on the ZDs for reliability. Its not even a contest. And nobody is ripping out a TB48 fo a diesel. Nobody. TD42? different story of course but the ill advised comments on TB vs ZD are disappointing. Very disappointing.
ОтветитьI’m looking for my first 4x4, and I’ve found a manual 1998 GU ST with the TB45E going for $9.5k, has a UHF, winch and snorkel installed but needs a new tie rod end, front and rear sway bar linkages and exhaust section from the diff back to pass blue slip. If I get it I plan to do all the work myself, do you guys reckon it’s worth it or should i look for something else?
Edit: It’s on 180,000kms and will mainly be used as a daily and for touring, I don’t plan on doing any super tough tracks, at least for the meantime.

Ответитьshould you buy a gq/gu patrol or 80/105 Landcruiser the answer is yes don't matter which one you choose ya get a good 4wd. Petrol or diesel doesn't matter what way you go you save on buying a petrol over a diesel you will save in fuel vs service costs. take what ever you buy off-road and you wont be disappointed petrol/diesel nissan/toyota is good and bad either way but just get out on a track n have some fun
ОтветитьWas not interested in this particular Nissan patrol. Wanted to know more about Nissan PATROL'S....
ОтветитьGu ivs have rear seat cup holders that slide out from the armrests.
ОтветитьThe GU Y61 is coming back, for all those Patrol fans out there.
Saw a video on YT, Nissan has just released the 2024 GU Patrol in Japan. It looks absolutely identical to the last GU that came off the production line in 2017. Nissan has decided to revisit the same classic look of the exterior/interior, but under the bonnet, gone is the 3.0ltr diesel. They are only available with the 4.8ltr diesel.
No word if or when they may be released outside of Japan, but put me down for one!
they are known well for rusting on roof at gutter to a point where they hole and leak into car
ОтветитьCan I ask anyone that owns one of these are they very very very slow? Because the figures look that way. I'm looking for a big suv that has some punch.
ОтветитьI had 2 td4.2s both stock expected for a 3” exhaust never had ether over heat if you turn the fuel up then seam to get hot
ОтветитьI grew up on multiple, back-to-back patrols. Back in late 80s and 90s those patrols were awesome. Simple and reliable. Nissan could take a leaf out of Toyota's book with 76 series and keep the old, basic bush-bashing, outback function. I am too scared to buy any new models. It just seems like everything is getting worse in quality and there are more and more recalls across the board. Give me and old new patrol any day.
ОтветитьIt's a bit sad you guys don't wanna talk about the petrol engines. I'm really thinking of buying one. Would have loved to hear why and why not.....
ОтветитьIts more the road raging patrol drivers in general. They talk about ranger danger but hell I cant count how many times ive seen patrols tailgating, agro drivers.
ОтветитьWe in Saudi Arabia have a Nissan Patrol Super Safari 4800 VTC engine it is a beast and as reliable as Toyota Land Cruiser.
ОтветитьAter watching this and other vids on the patrols I opted for a 2005 100 series landcruiser 4.7L V8
ОтветитьI didn't know you got those shape patrols with the TD42, that's pretty cool.
I've only seen them with the ZD30 or the TB48, granted I don't live in Australia....
Pretty easy to work on eh? Try a thermostat change on a zd30 CRD😢😢
ОтветитьExcellent review - Bloopers are a bonus
🙏😃👍
I've had my 2003 ZD30 since new and apart from a new clutch never had a problem. Only 186k on the clock, everything works perfect, and car looks like new inside and out (because I've looked after it). Recommend regular services every 5000k, or 6months though. Don't skimp on them.
ОтветитьThe steering wheel is on the wrong side. Junk that thing.
ОтветитьIs it better than the land cruiser 200 series ??
ОтветитьNaughties .........
ОтветитьI think being sanctimonious and condescending towards smokers is filthy and disgusting. But like your opinion, it's subjective.
Ответить"another ashtray here if you are filthy and disgusting" - so good!
ОтветитьReally doesn't make sense that the petrol engine are "shit". The 4.5 and 4.8 are one of the most reliable engines ever - far more than the 3.0 as well
ОтветитьMy loving vehicle.
Amazing
Awsome review mate. I would choose a patrol over anything. Reliable and comfortable. Iam saving some bucks for a TB 48
ОтветитьI got a 1999 GU 4.5L patrol and it had never let me down. 35s and a 6" lift, thing just monsters anything with zero issue.
ОтветитьBloopers don't happen to people speaking from the heart... Loose the TV style 'production'.. It's painful.
ОтветитьPatrol review and craps on about paint and interior... Can we be a bit less obviously millenially -gay? Or at least stop pretending to be?
ОтветитьSoft cock world when It comes down to cup holders.1999 Nissan Patrol GU 4.2 D 445.000km Never let me down in Africa
ОтветитьJust a heads up everyone in Dubai have a Nissan petrol 🤣🤣 the slowest one they got is 800hp
ОтветитьSo far so good with mine! Only had it for two years. (2012 GU Y61 only 122,000kms). Love the space and it's a very comfortable ride. The less tech the better for an off-road vehicles (less issues to worry about in the middle of nowhere). Form follows function, and this vehicle has very practical features for four-wheel driving. In comparison I sat in a jeep for ten minutes, and as flashy as all the new tech was, it seemed so plastic, cosmetic and unnecessary for an off-road vehicle - maybe I just like the old school stuff better. The Patrol feels solid in comparison. There is only one thing that is puzzling me - if early zd30 common rail engines are so poor and prone to blowing up, how could any be still available and operational? There were issues with Nissan oil level recommendations in the past, which most likely contributed to this engine failure. Even later models should fill up around 8.5 to 8.7ltr, which is more than the 8.2ltr recommendation. Enjoyed the vid, as many valid points 👍
ОтветитьPetrol engine patrols are so much better than the diesel ones.
Last longer have more power and are bullet proof.
Bit strange where you got your facts from but hey nobody knows everything about everything 😜
the answer to your question is YES!!! But not in Australia. But in UAE because is patrol y61 is still being produced for the Middle East since that legendary off-roader is extremely famous in the UAE
ОтветитьIf anyone is in close proximity of this guy, light a ciggy 🚬 and blow the smoke on his face....
Ответитьi worked at nissan for 12 years the GU 3.0 taught me how to do warranties very quickly due to high frequency of no3 cylinder damage, cylinder head cracking, turbo failure and fuel pump failures , each one of these repairs was extremely common generally at 80,000 k to 120,000 k
ОтветитьI have the 02 GU 3.0 and I run cas evac in Donbas Ukraine. This is a rough tractor and very hard on my body on normal roads, in the mod and bump and I need power and speed, and torque( a lot of towing in the mud) it’s the best! My 06 3.2 Pajaro got blown up in August, it was so comfortable and with the off road tires it was almost as good. This patrol was donated to me, the American actually gave me a choice of model. Looking back, I’d have another Pajaro! Just for comfort and convenience inside the cab.
ОтветитьIs this guy for real .he not a influencer .and the mechanic really .
ОтветитьI think it looks awesome and is on par with the Toyota Landcruiser.
ОтветитьCould you try and review a GQ next?
ОтветитьShould put one for Kun26r Hilux!
ОтветитьLooking to buy? Zd30 Injector pumps start to fail around 200,000 and are a prick to find / replace and will cost $$$$, If it’s hasn’t been done by previous owner expect to do it yourself. Check NADS or at least a catch can has been done. Pre common rail (DI) version were fairly much sorted by 2004, early common rails had their own sets of issues too. Check your glow plugs have been done (should be done at 100,000km I believe), original ceramic head ones can fail and when they do parts can journey into the piston and cause complete failure.
Ответитьmeanwhile i daily drive a GQ 1992 patrol hahaha
Ответить
