Damn. I never liked the first OP, and when i listened to this one for the first time, but damn, if it didn't grow on me hard af. Like the Abyss itself, this shit haunt's my thoughts. I never was hurt so much by something so cheery and bright on the first glance, and i will never stop enjoing it.

in my soul, i really can't see MiA as a sad anime. even mitty found love and care through nanachi, and was set free in the end. aside from losing reg, i don't think there's a single thing in the abyss that could take the joy and wonder out of riko. i also can't help but find bondrewd a bittersweet figure, where it's implied through prushka all of those children still have a connection to bondrewd. prushka will see the dawn, and much more through bondrewd over the next 2000 years!
