I guess this build is not for beginners, so many names of things I don’t understand. Looking them up takes a lot of reading and understanding more concepts I’ve never heard of. Is there a “for dummies” version of explaining builds without name dropping things I don’t understand?

Try to get a 6 socket 5 linked chest early so you can fit everything a lot easier, once you get exposure gloves from eater implicit drop wave entirely.
This build is extremely gem intensive, you might have to move some things around/flex abit early on or even only run 1 curse.^7

How to craft the sceptre in the defensive setup?

How do you craft that endgame scepter on the offensive setup? t1 fire dot 1/4K on an alt spam?

Which would be recommended with the offensive and defensive setups? What are the pros and cons? Which is better for bossing/mapping/simulacrum?

Just a a few questions.

1. My physical damage over time is wrecking my build and I have 75% physical mitigation.

2. If I'm playing in a group and they cast curse does that take off the ignite?

Im trying to run this build and im just getting to low tier red maps but im struggling to kill rares my dmg is so low and i have no idea why when everyone else is saying this build has great dmg on shit gear and im struggling to kill shit i dont know whats wrong

Too situational and not good 1v1 on bosses. A ad clearing build. Great when its great, but lacking in other situations. I like reliable damage, personally. Great work though.

Is there anyway to reset the corpse pool

Do you keep ignite prolif on for bosses without minion phases? I guess there isnt much difference between it and combstion though

Never played DD so the skill took some getting used to, but pretty tanky and has good damage. Thanks for the guide mate.

When do you actually switch from Cremation to DD? Do you wait until finishing A10? The PoB wasn't terribly clear on that, everything else looks great. Thanks for the video!

Question about the spectre trick, once youve added the herald do you need to keep the gem on yourself at all times or you can leave jt in stash

Wanted to say thanks for this, smoothest league start in a long time on essentially 0 gear. Went the defensive tree and still do more than enough damage.

I think i found an error when it comes to the dmg calculation which is shown in the PoB 😐.
The PoB says (after i loaded it in) that it has around 14mil pds which would be right if we only detonated the Kitavas Herald corps but thats not true we will only detonate that one around 1 out of 6 detonations or something like that, which means that all the other times a corps with way less life is detonated and there for will also deal less dmg.

Also the Kitavas Herald corps has 127,062 Life which is still a bit less then the 139700 shown in the pob wich also confused me.

And yes I know that the strongest ignite does override the lower ones but until you hit the right corps a few seconds might pass and there for your dmg uptime can not be calculated by the corps life of your spectre.

Or in other words i believe that the 14mil dps shown in the pob are rarely achieved and you should most of the time get around 12mil dps in longer boss fights. This will especially becomes prominent when the boss has lots of phases which every time resets the ignite on the boss.

Does anyone immediately skip to the next video as soon as the content creator say the word “specter”. I just can’t play with them it’s so dang annoying to play. I hate them.

i dont think sadism breaks your ignite against archnemesis mobs because it is less duration mod, not reduced duration (so it does not stack with archnem mod), so it will never reduce your ignite to zero, and after change to minimum ignite duration several patches ago, ignites are not discarded if their duration less than 300ms

Really well explained guide! I never played DD myself but it's definitely a build I always wanted to try. There's one question about something you said in the video when it comes to bossing. So let's say we are fighting the Maven and start the fight by aiming for our highest ignite by desecrating and DD-ing. After a few times we hit the corpse we tried to hit and inflict a huge ignite on the Maven. How I understood it from that moment on we only have to re-curse the Maven over and over again due to the use of "Defiled Forces" and its ability to refresh ignites. So that means once we hit our big ignite we don't have to desecrate and DD anymore but refresh our ignite by cursing the Maven, is that correct? I mean, of course only until the next phase starts or she moves out of our ignite-range.
