what is free sync and free sync premium
ОтветитьUse g-sync of freesync instead
ОтветитьWithout vsync, you are getting screen tears. Without vsync, you're getting either so much tearing you can't notice, or just barely enough so there's one big consistent line on your screen. Turn vsync on. Try adaptive vsync in the nvidia control panel, it disables vsync if you fall below your refresh rate.
ОтветитьSo what if warzone for example is a 60 fps game
I have my Xbox at 120 fps , and my monitor at 120 fps should I lower both settings to 60
Is it going to make it worse
Uncapping fps in recent years can cause some less than desirable hardware errors do to poor optimization.
ОтветитьVsync should be turned on when your system overpower your monitor or the games shows way higher fps that your monitor can handle. Otherwise the game crashes all the time.
ОтветитьTurning on vsync helps me reduce stuttering because cpu is not 100% overloaded especially when driving at high speed in gta v, far cry 4....cpu loads almost 100% and stuttering occurs. Turning on vsync helps to reduce frame tearing, reduce the work of cpu, gpu, ram.... and it also reduces temperature, reduces stuttering. I always lock 3A games at 60fps, and shooters like csgo at 144fps according to the screen.
ОтветитьAs someone who has a relatively good PC but a trash monitor, this really hurts, as im eating PC performance always just to fix screen tearing...
ОтветитьAdaptive V-Sync is the way to go
ОтветитьIs this on xbox
ОтветитьI just use v sync to lower my fps so my gpu wont over heat
Ответитьso mostly OFF then, got it! thanks
ОтветитьIf that causes problems more often than not, i say games should come with it off by default
Ответитьi have a very good gaming pc but a 60hz monitor lol
ОтветитьI have a 165hz monitor and play with it on on ultra settings and still get good fps above 110 ?
ОтветитьIf you don't have a Gsync or Freesync display, turn that Vsync on. If you wanna get competitive and want it off, just buy a G/FreeSync display
With that said, my freesync display is tearing so badly. I cap my frame rate, disable Vsync, and it just tears so badly. Image just looks VERY wiggly. I have VRR enabled in Windows, FreeSync/VRR enabled in AMD app, and FreeSync enabled manually for my games. Yet it tears so badly anyways. IDK how to fix it
i have a 75hz monitor and my game runs over 100 fps, should I trun it on?
ОтветитьI play totk in ryujinx and disabling V Sync adds like 40 FPS
Ответить1.Turn off vsync
2.limit FPS in MSI Afterburner
3.????????
4.Profit
That's why Gsync is generally a lot better, it doesn't have the drawbacks of super low FPS that vsync has. But monitores with it are usually a lot more expensive sadly
ОтветитьI literally get screen tearing in every single game I play. I've tried everything by trial and error on a 120hz gsync tv and regular 60hz monitor. I find it interesting that no one can give a simple tutorial how to completey remove screen tearing without using vsync. And I'm beginning to realize they either ignore the stuttering or weird inconsistent visual flow of frames and input latency that always comes when vsync is off. I'm yet to get a consistent gameplay like a ps5 with gsync off or be shown how to do so.
ОтветитьGsync and amd freesync does the same without having to cap your fps if you hacean amd gpu buy a monitor with amd freesync if you have a Nvidia gpu buy a gsync monitot or you can buy an adaptivr sync monitor it ahs both
ОтветитьI'd get rid all of these new tech amd bring back the old tech just for game replayability. Games are not fun these days...just looks good😢
ОтветитьOkay, that makes sense. I looked it up bc with it on I’m capped around 140 frames on most games but with it off, I’m pulling around 380-450 depending on the game. I’d gladly give up the extra frames if it’s something I really need on, but it doesn’t sound like I do
ОтветитьI alwase use vsync, it is awesome, makes game so much smooth
ОтветитьI actually got screen tearing by leaving it on instead lmaoo
ОтветитьGreat, but you know on Linux we have Esync, Fsync and Fsync + spincount ?
ОтветитьThank you for the short video explaining it.
Ответитьif youre a "gamer" and dont know what vsync is, you are not a gamer XD
ОтветитьIf you have a black screen flashing problem in persona 5 royal v sync is probably the problem
ОтветитьLol even if you are in-fact having sceen tears, leave it off.
ОтветитьI created a vsync AI that fixes frame stutters using python Im running a 4090 it's amazing!!!
ОтветитьI always try to turn it on bcz my screen is at 60hz and while playing games on vsync off my gpu gets overheated and game lags, so i play on 60fps with no framedrops and overheating, if you guys have any other solution for overheating please suggest me.
Ответитьstill surprised that still, no one mentions here in the comment that using vsync is only effective (to avoid latency) when used with gsync and cap the frame rate 1-2 fps below your monitor rated hz capacity.
ОтветитьCries in 3090 coil whine :(
Ответитьso its just my screen and not my pc? so i need a new monitor????
ОтветитьMy monitor is 60hz why does mine locks on 30fps?
ОтветитьI had a lot of troubles with Screen Tearing, but now I just turned it on if I record a game like Pokemon, i dont need crazy fps anyway so vsync on will be perfectly fine.
ОтветитьSo little tip just get a gsync compatible monitor. It has the same effect as vsync but with no delay added.
Ответитьimo really depends on what game
ОтветитьIts a surprise he didn't mention another downside of V-sync, a small delay between input and action. Since V-Sync attempts to synchronize the frames so they don't appear split, it does so by waiting a very small amount of time to display a correct, tear-less image, and that delay can be felt for fast games.
If you want responsiveness, for competitive games, turn it off. Better to have a visual annoyance than be a few frames in the past, screwing up your inputs
Vsynch can also be super practical if the game either has FPS Uncapped limit or 60 FPS. If you have a 120hz monitor you can enable v-sync to lock it to 120 fps without external tools and such.
ОтветитьHonestly should bring up the facts that free sync uses v sync
ОтветитьI still don't get it
ОтветитьYeah it's why I've never used v-sync fuck anything under 144 fps
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьIt also gives your game more lag
ОтветитьIs double buffering the same thing as v sync or does it function differently?
ОтветитьIt's one of the things people use to justify buying expensive Video Cards they don't actually need.
Ответитьcapping fps is better
Ответить
