I recommend starting the Dawnguard as soon as possible. Arvak is the most useful spell in survival.

I mean, when I think of Skyrim I always think "easy listening" or "soft jazz" lmfao

I certainly don't think of metal, specifically don't think of Viking Folk metal or Norwegian Black Metal, or anything like that lol

I might try Restoration Archery and light armor khajiit, with heavy gauntlets for close combat, in survival. Magic healing and easier way of hunting food sounds like it would help in this mode, as well as the extra warmth from the race itself.

I know it's an year but crit is based on the weapon base dmg so even with a dragon bow it's not worth it

Orc warrior all the way for me. Triple defenses plus berserker rage. They are natural warriors.

Get married in whiterun to ysolda for easy access to a free house, home cooked meals and gold from her business.

I like to also start the companion quest line, after the first job, the 2nd one sees farkas following you.. he cant die so its a great choice for backup until you finish that quest. (I still havent on this playthrough)

The main downside is being in heavy armour which lowers your inventory early on. But defense is a big thing for those early fights making it well worth it until you get later perks.

breton + mirakk armour = win

Critical perks and those perks on same "level" for the other weapons, like bleed and crushing are a joke. Not knowing this in 2022 and reccomending them is a terrible recccomendation!

ancient nordic armor is needed for begginers i found some and the warmth is amazing giving the same amount as the fur armor on the chest piece plus extra warmth bc of the boots,gauntletss,and helmet. plus the armor is good in genaral especially if you upgrade it and enchant it

I think orc best race for sneaky bows I play on legendary and survival orc passives too strong it's cool down helps so much on legendary it lets you win hard fights in the start and it helps win early brawling when you might not be able to also since or isn't focused on sneak or bows ppl think it makes them bad at it all it really means is your going to get extra lvls early game is actually more useful you can train archery right away to 50 for free and then just grind sneak in the first couple places and your basically good to go if you want get bound bow you can also steal a deadric crossbow right off the bat or the new sneak bow from the early quests for anniversary edition also get one of the new summon / dismiss non combat pets you can give them arrows food potions what ever up to their weight limit and summon them to you if you need back up

Don’t listen to this guy, specialized perks for 2h/1h trees are noob traps, the damage you gain is minuscule. Stagger perk for archery is essential, as most major boss fights will not allow you to stealth crit them, and the stagger works on every enemy, including dragons. Going for 5/5 armor perks at the begging of the armor trees is a waste as well, armor cap is 567, anything above that is a waste. You can hit this cap with elven armor with 1/5 first perk and the 25% bonus from full set.

I’m struggling early game but I’m hoping my thief conjourer Breton female will come good in the end. Doing thieves guild and college but the hardest part is no armour!

Idk much about builds but with the imperious races mod the red guard is a great race to play in survival. They have unlimited stamina when out of combat so you can literally RUN anywhere

Really enjoyed the video and as a seasoned Skyrim player. I appreciate you adding the Bretons in. I almost never see them and they are my favorite race so far.

If your playing a mage in skyrim your most powerful options are illusion, and conjuration. First off, the spells in both school are designed to be activated in combat then left to do their thing. Second, if you get your hands on the soul trap and muffle spell the skills are extremely fast leveling. Thirdly, the ability to summon an endless hoard of opponents to take down your enemies is extremely powerful, and the ability to simply end combat outright or remain entirely undetectable with illusion is just as powerful. Illusion spells may lack in their ability to effect higher level enemies, but that is easily remedied with vampirism and/or a fortify illusion potion which is easily crafted with a dragons tongue and mora tapinella both very common and cheap ingredients. As for the duration of illusion and conjuration spells they are much of an issue as with either cost reduction or magicka regen the costs of the spells are negated long before they run out, and the thrall spells exist is your really worried about your summons not lasting long enough.

Any suggestions on how I can keep this game from bugging on my PS5? I’ve tried deleting save files ,reinstalling ,etc. I was hoping the Anniversary edition would be better than previous performances ,but no. Why is this game so damned buggy?

With the Secret of Arcana power + Telekinesis + Fast Travel a far distance, you can gain infinite levels and max out all skill points.

Never thought I'd say this, but after watching your video i give survival mode a try ... any recommendations which armor has good warmth? Not sure if i go melee or caster, but as you suggest heavy on both builds i would love to hear which sets have good warmth and give enough armor to count as useful. :)

I wouldn't have thought of the wood elf for an survival mode race, but you made that build around it a reliable one. The Orc and Breton are indeed good candidates, each for their own reasons.
Personally I would go with the Nord though: 25% warmth bonus is the highest out of all races and the 50% resistance to frost magic on top of that is huge since frost spells used against you not only slow you doen and cause damage, they also lower your character's warmth. With a Nord and a warm outfit my character only had died once in a blizzard. Was he not a Nord, he would have died much more often.

Best tip is to pickpocket. It’s extremely easy, you can buy a lesson and pickpocket the money back. I made it legendary 7 times. It’s so easy and levels you up like crazy, not to mention it gives you 100 extra carry weight with a perk.

Breton sword and shield with the atronoch stone and the resist magic perks from alteration is my favorite build of all time..don't need magic much so the drawback of atronch stone isn't that big of a deal & you end up being invincible to magic. Breton is one of least popular races but it's my go too.. still doing my orc survival run, level 32 and climbing 💪
