I Added A Desktop GPU To This Mini PC And Now It's A Full On Gaming PC

My computer works ALOT faster with the operating system running from an M.2. I can run my system from an internal SSD drive, but it doesn't compare to the efficiency of an M.2 drive... There has to be another way to interface an external gpu without using the M.2 slot!!

It's definitely worth it if your a digital nomad who's a gamer and edits videos of his trip. Gonna set something like this up for either the BEELINK GTR 7 Pro or a beelink that might be smaller with those specs. You got yourself a super mini PS5 or Xbox one X lol

I have a NAD9 from minisforum, I connected an AMD RX 7900 XTX with a thermaltake 850w power supply to it over m2 slot. However it does not detect the external gpu.

I wouldn't buy anything else from minisfroum, they seem to go AFK when you want a refund or anything regarding returns or exchanges

Is it possible to connect a RX 9700 XTX with 355w TDP? Is there any Limit in Watt or Size of the GPU? I have a MSI GP66 with 2x NVME Slots.

This performs about the same as my RTX 3050 4GB 95W at least on Cyberpunk. (I7 11-800H, 16gb Ram 3200, and Samsung 970 evo plus) I get 50 FPS on high but mines a laptop GPU. Maybe you are losing performance somewhere? Should be better for desktop 3060, shouldn't it?

This actually makes a lot of sense. I bought a laptop and will never do so again because of the lack of upgradeability and enormous cost. However I don't want a full on tower either cause its nice to have something portable. This solves both those issues as at home I can have the most powerful graphics card available and easily upgrade it (unlike a laptop) and I can just use the built in one for travelling. All this is waaaaay cheaper than a laptop.
