can i use this as an AP? i want this connected to my router, this one acts as an access point then adding another router that acts as a repeater. Is this possible? someone told me that a repeater tends to get slow signal. I want to have the same signal strength as if i am near the original router when i am connected to the repeater. I want to attach that repeater let's say 50meters away. Is this possible?

He is misusing the term extender. what he should be saying is repeater, where it is receiving and re-transmitting a WIFI signal.
The better solution is a true extender, which uses an ethernet cable between the routers.

Why not get an access point?

So, if I have 500Mbps speed next to the wifi router and my furthest room has only 85Mbps speed then adding an extender will not boost the speed of the furthest room?

Your video is already 4 years old, and it is good, but technology has improved a lot in 4 years.
I spent several months thinking about extending coverage at home, and finally I decided to buy a new router WiFi 6 extended so wit will improve performance and range.
All I need is conect the new router with cable to the Access point and Base Router.
Talking about price I think is almosy the same price a WiFi extender as Netgear than a new Wifi 6 Extended router.

I got an extender once. Used it like an antenna to pick up the wifi from my router and then plugged a ethernet cable from the extender to my xbox. Download speed went from 3mbps to 230mps. Amazing and well worth it.
