this must be that new DEI liberal ghetto navy. They would rather cover a ship in graffiti than to even apply a single coat of paint. Disgraceful DEI Military is the end of freedom and security in the world.

I was on a Guided Missile Frigate back in the day and it was always a good sight to see UNREPS under way. Fuel and food etc.

Given that these logistics ships look remarkably like the failed Litoral Combat ships that are currently being taken out of USN service, wouldn't it make sense to refit those LCS's into the same sort of logistics vessels documented here? For gawd's sake, please DON'T sell the retiring LCS's to Canada, my country. The Canadian Government would cook their books to make it look like we're spending 2% of our GNP on Defense, when, believe me, they have absolutely no intention of honouring that NATO Member requirement. The reason for our perpetual state of military penury can be summed up in one word: Quebec.

I will never understand why they decided to NOT paint these vessels. I rem seeing them on the outfitting piers like "oh they are gonna paint these in the water?" Nope. Thats the finished product for JHSV. Odd to me.

I did not know the United States Navy had ships like this, things like this or why the United States Navy is the best in the world, the Navy does not like playing games and leaving things to chance the greatest planning maintaining and improvising to get the job done 💯.

I had no idea the U.S. Navy had such advanced ships! This is exactly why the U.S. Navy is considered the best in the world—they don’t leave anything to chance. It’s all about meticulous planning, top-notch maintenance, and the ability to adapt on the fly to get the job done.

There is a ship in Philly that is being prepared to be taken to Florida for an artificial reef. It was said that ,that ship the S.S. America crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 3 days 10 hours time. Why aren't Naval ship built to compete in time with that remarkably fast vessel?

I knew a bloke in the Italian Navy, he served his period expecting to sail the seas, ended up shuttling between mainland and some islands bringing water to these places.
In the end he enjoyed it.

This concept was first used when Australia used a Tasmania ferry to transport equipment to East Temore. It was very successful and the U.S. navy took notice and the rest is history

Why is no one in the uniform? Does the Navy have casual Fridays now? It’s pronounced Mo-beel Alabama, not “Mobil”.
Why didn’t the U.S. use these vessels to get food supplies to Gaza?
