The reason the burden of proof is on the defense (aside from it being a game mechanic) is because the game is a satire of the Japanese legal system and their extremely high conviction rate- it is basically ‘you have to prove you’re not guilty’.
ОтветитьWait until she sees the parrot….
ОтветитьThis is so fun
Ответитьis she related to Gal Gadot? 😄
ОтветитьSo the conclusion from the testimony from this real lawyer is: Always listen to the dominatrix, she is always right. (Are you sure this real lawyer is not secretly a dominatrix herself? 😅) 😏
ОтветитьRemember that this Is mostly the Japanese court system so something’s are different than americas court system
ОтветитьRomeo and Juliet both die. Cleopatra was killed by a snake (or at least that’s the most accepted way she died) and I’m pretty sure Mark Anthony met a fatal end. I wanna say he was assassinated but I don’t remember. Point is that these couples Mr. Butz references met a fatal end as a result of them being together. So yeah it worked out just as well as them Mr. Butz😹
ОтветитьDid you play it enough to realize why she brought the clock with her to Paris?
ОтветитьActually, it is accurate... in Japan... The Phoenix Wright games actually use the Japanese legal system for its court cases, with the exception that court cases in Japan don't have a maximum length of 3 days last I checked. Also, the reason she took the clock with her is because it was custom made for her by her boyfriend, the cost didn't matter to her.
ОтветитьIt's glad that we have the Attorney's point of view of how trial actually does.
Ответитьwait till she discovers danganronpa 😭
ОтветитьWell, some of the inaccuracies are because the game's legal system is based on both the US system and the Japan system
ОтветитьFUN FAVT ACE ATTORNEY STILL TAKES PLACE IN JAPAN SO THIS COURT ROOM WOULD NOT CARE ABOUT CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS
ОтветитьShe still didn't see Franziska literally whipping the judge,Phoenix, the witnesses and especially Gumshoe (AKA scruffy)
ОтветитьLOL OMG IT WAS 2001 not the 80s. People had cellphones in the 80s/90s but not everyone. They weren't as ubiquitous as they are now. This was only slightly prior to that period.
ОтветитьNow I need a Japanese lawyer's reaction.
ОтветитьWhoa another Diana. But also have you ever whipped or thrown coffee on any defense attorneys? 😂
But also this is originally based on Japan's law system. It was localized to American laws (poorly) but it's still hilarious. And Mia's outfits are fine compared to literally everything else. This is also not American state court technically.
The most insane part of these games is how they present evidence. It's illegal in almost every country I assume 😂
Wish they played through a different case, this was basically just a tutorial case
ОтветитьI know that I'm about 4 years late, but thing about the Ace Attorney series is, because crime rates are incredibly high, the courts of law go super fast. No jury, only a judge, and the DA has to prove their client innocent within 3 days, otherwise they're automatically declared guilty. What's more is that, if 15 years passes after the case had been resolved, then the records are permanently erased. If the DA is able to discover the trial was rigged, or they found new evidence that can prove that their client is innocent, then they can perform a retrial. Lastly, the death penalty exists.
Ответитьyou know she didn't grow up in the weeb culture, as she called Larry's tearful anime eyes "meth habits" hahahah
ОтветитьIt's definitely not realistic at all, but it leads to some funny moments in the later cases
ОтветитьStop judging Mia for her outfit! 😭
ОтветитьI shall thank this video for actually getting me into this franchise 3 years ago
...I still don't know how to fell about that tho
Very fun video, but yeah, ultimately it's a bizarro legal system (I believe the country it takes place in is supposed to be a hybridisation of the US and Japan). It's interesting that the rules of evidence was mentioned; one of my favourite gameplay moments happens in the extra case of the first game, where you have to take some rules that are told you into account in order to make the right play.
ОтветитьWait till she sees Von karmas daughter whip people in court
ОтветитьWait until she sees the part where you cross-examine the orca
ОтветитьWait till she sees Fransica von Karma...
Ответитьme being distantly seen at the back
i dont think this is american legal system
I don’t know why but her whole vibe kind feels off. She may not have known it was the Japan legal system or satire, but it feels like she’s not even trying to enjoy the game? I know she’s supposed to criticize it but she’s just gunning for the game the whole time. I dunno, it just feels weird to me, and maybe it’s because I’m a fan of the game itself 😅
Ответитьkim wexler!?
ОтветитьAsk your law school professor if airbending lessons are allowed
ОтветитьI mean, the first thing when Sahwit is asked if he's selling newspapers is just Payne trying to skip some formalities. Whenever you call a witness in Japanifornia where this game takes place, the witness has to state his or her name and occupation for the court. So Payne is just saying "You're a newspaper salesman with this name, get on with your testimony". Which is reasonable since the prosecution can bully the judge in Japanifornia.
ОтветитьA lawyer playing Phoenix Wright
A doctor playing Plague Inc
Now I need Gordan Ramsay to play cooking mama
Just so we’re clear here, ace atourney is set in Japan, not america.
ОтветитьShe is jealous of her outfit 😂
Ответить"The Dominatrix" 💀
ОтветитьAgain, the game takes place in a different country so they will be major differences
ОтветитьFind my friend ❤🎉😊
ОтветитьDaily reminder that in 20XX people only get three days for a trial.
ОтветитьThis game isin't 100% serious Bcs its game
ОтветитьLame, just have her play most of the... no just have her play the ENTIRE first game, she still doesn't have a grasp on how loose Ace Attorney is with the law, and that "technically" it is not in America
Besides harsh critiques of this series would be an interesting watch!
Oh, she tell the cyanide capsule like 2 games earlier. What a good lawyer.
ОтветитьWait till she realizes the reason why the verdict was said by the judge (its based on japan!!)
ОтветитьThe reason this game isn’t completely accurate is because it combines American and Japanese law. The creators said that the universe is like a mash up between Japan and Los Angeles.
ОтветитьShe is enjoying the game you can tell hahahaha
ОтветитьWatch suits thats gonna change
ОтветитьEven a real lawyer struggles playing this game
ОтветитьWait till she sees that lawyers can use AIRBENDING in court
Ответить
