He is looking like a robot damn those people started the technology I hate it i hate working at technology I want to be a part of nature
ОтветитьC++ is so confusing, it’s like it was made difficult to use on purpose
ОтветитьWatching this in 2023 to know the true essence of C++.
Ответить😂😂😂
Change Blindness and denial, keep people writing code like they did in the 1970s.
Then trying to project this to the guy who took us from that point and forward
😂😂😂
Was it an error in linking the code, or just a runaway pointer
😂😂😂😂
Enough pointing fingers
Enjoy
@8:is I completely agree on the description of the subset of human spices 😂😂
No wonder I had some serious problems over the last decade!
The only observation I would like to share is: engineers are found in more places than science…
You have MBA engineers as an example
In closing, I am far from being an expert (thank you lord) but I am starting to appreciate C++.
I have no clue if I am getting smarter or what happened
dude made a whole ass title just to say hello world lmao
Ответитьthis man is my hero.
ОтветитьBjarne is a legend! It is so nice to listen this intelligent man talk about the language that at some point back in time changed my life...
Ответитьevery word comes out of his mouth is total bullcrap. i have no idea how he made the language. yet to see him talk about a single thing that i agree with. starting from cryptocurrencies with his terrible uneducated opinions to C-style arrays and unique_ptr .
ОтветитьWhy Microsoft Windows still use raw pointers
ОтветитьI'm glad we are as connected as we are to be able to see this interview even if we are far, far away from Edinburgh.
ОтветитьThat guy should have been the bad guy in Die Hard, not Hans Gruber. It's a fact.
Ответить"...I still think it's cool to write code like it's the 90s." I'm feeling quite called out now.
ОтветитьK&R and Stroustrup were my favorite books back in college. Thank you a lot prof Stroustrup .
ОтветитьSorry mister Bjarne, there is only one programming langauge = C :) :)
ОтветитьWow nice documentary. I liked basic
ОтветитьIts funny how programmers who have zero clue about the language, who especially come from any higher level language or had some sort of front end web development or whatever with no experience in systems programming or low level mechanisms come and criticise low level language like c++ or c so quickly and so confidently without even having enough knowledge about the good practises that are encouraged in the language or basic understanding what even a pointer is. It just shows their level or ignorance of some people who are so quick in pointing fingers, without realizing that their programming skills is basically garbage, of course their are flaws in c++ but their level of ignorant generalization in attributing all possible flaws of programming to the nature of c++ is simply absurd.
ОтветитьReally nice👍
ОтветитьThe heck? I was watching Kpop videos then left YT running while in a meeting and came back to this. I do happen to work in IT, but I'm no coder. 😆
ОтветитьIt's just a frequency that is Morris code. Depends on the frequency and beat. Particles and waves. On a keyboard.
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьD Code The Next step..
ОтветитьC was the language that you could learn and master (completely) in 6 months.. Mastering modern C++ would take.. ehh.. about 60 years? Still, I want to thank Stroustrup for his efforts in making a practical language with more structure than C. This talk is pretty good as well. But today C++ seems like ancient history and only suitable for carrying forth legacy code. Since I've discovered Rust, I know that using C++ for larger code bases is unwise. I still use it for microcontroller code, where you maybe have 2000-3000 LOCs. Undefined behavior is just too much of a burden to deal with when project complexity scales up.
ОтветитьAs a programmer, I'll tell you what really ticks me off about these high level OOP languages.. I'm pretty good at logic and program flow, but my productivity is drastically slowed down by having to remember, or look up, all the INSANE syntax, variable passing, and multiple file dependencies of C++
Ответитьjust guugle : utjerivac u pozoriste.. that's the guy
ОтветитьBjarne Stroustrup needs a haircut!
ОтветитьSimply great.. He is such a good confident teacher. This video is a must watch for all programmers.
ОтветитьThis man crazy and talk about his c++ he denial that c better than c++
ОтветитьSir I wanted to become a data programmer in microsoft company and Everyone in the world becomes clever and intelligent and smart and I am not so clever and intelligent
ОтветитьThe Two Ba5atdrs at My School that went to Cambridge, were Doing Exactly the Same thing as You.
Pretending, to Have done someone else's work.
what's her name?
Ответитьi made c++ because i had no life and i love typing .
Ответитьi love his very subtle sarcasm
ОтветитьC++ is an absolute dragon of a language. The best languages are C# and Pascal. Wirth and Hejlsberg FTW!
ОтветитьI've just started messing about with esp32 embedded cpu so I am having to learn a bit of C++. I would only call myself an amature programmer at best. I started out on Python for ease of access, which is nice, but soon hit the performance limitations. So I did the research on lots of other languages to weigh up the pros and cons, they all have them and will be different for different people, and
I settled on D. This was an interesting lecture, but it does reinforce the conclusion that C++ really wants to be D, it's just going to take 10++ years to get there. Anyway, I hope I can avoid the pitfalls highlighted by Bjarne.
Christ it takes a bit for Bjarne to actually get on the stage doesn’t it?
ОтветитьTerrible auto-transcription - though quite funny at places
ОтветитьGreat presentation by Bjarne Stroustrup, but the subtitles are horrible, which makes the video far less accessible. The University of Edinburgh should know better.
ОтветитьWow! Concepts and modules should have been finalized before cpp17!!!
Ответитьso this why windows keeps crashing
ОтветитьMaster👴
Ответить真实的发量
ОтветитьAh, Irish!
Ответить"Would love you all to join us for some drinks, nibbles and networking..."
I know not of what you speak, lass...it is now the dark times...😂😂😂
